Slughorn caught me after class one day giving me a warm smile. "I'm having a Christmas gathering this evening. And I did indeed forget to offer my star student an invitation. I do hope you can make it, and please bring your special someone." I bit my lip at special someone, "I'll be there professor. Thank you."

As soon as classes were over I got dressed making my way down to slughorns party, I really hadn't spoken to Harry much lately, but I knew he would be at this event, I sighed pushing open the door. "Welcome Ms. Malfoy." I smiled at the professor, spotting Harry and Hermione immediately. I decided I really didn't want to engage with him right now, instead I began talking to Ginny and Dean. A few minutes later the doors slammed open and I saw Flinch dragging my brother into the room. "I found this one lurking in the upstairs corridor." I stared at Draco confused, but noticed Harry slip out of the party. Snape stepped forward covering for my brother, which made me shake my head at Draco and leave the party myself.

Harry was leaning up against one of the walls around the corner, I sat beside him gently setting my head on his shoulder, "you still mad at me?" I shook my head no. "Listen Harry." I whispered.

"Maybe I did hex that bell girl maybe I didn't what's it matter to you?" Draco hissed. I heard Snape push him up against the wall, "I swore to protect you. I took the unbreakable vow." Draco scoffed, "I don't need your protection, he chose me for this. Don't you see? I have to do this." I could hear the hurt in his voice and wanted to protect him in anyway I could, but it was clear he didn't want anybody's help. Harry squeezed my hand and we walked back to the common room together. "We have to tell the order." I sighed not wanting to, but it was the right thing to do.

When holdidays began we all went back to the Burrow, the Weasleys happily accepting us into their home for Christmas. I gave Remus a hug exhausted, and just happy to see him again. "You're alright dear." He whispered, and I took a deep breath eventually pulling away.

Harry gathered Remus, Tonks, Arthur and I into a side room and told them everything he knew about Draco so far. I closed my eyes not wanting anything he said to be true, but everything that he's done had proved otherwise. Remus shook his head when he was done, "has it occurred to you Harry that Snape was simply pretending to offer Draco help." I shook my head, "look Remus the last thing I want is to go against my brother, but Snape made the unbreakable vow." Remus sighed, "it comes down to whether you trust Dumbledores judgement or not, he trusts Snape, therefore I trust Snape." Harry spoke up, "Dumbledore can make mistakes he said so himself." Remus raised his voice, "you're blinded by hatred Harry, you are. We can only place our trust in a handful of people. If we start fighting amongst those people were doomed." I rested my head in my hands, "Dumbledores been talking to me a lot lately, he agrees that Draco's up to something." Remus stood up, "you're family is forcing him to do something. And as his sister you should be focused on protecting him, not turning the order against each other." I scoffed, "I wrote to you about this already, long before Harry heard any of this. I've tried to talk to him. He doesn't let me. Don't talk about my brother, he's not like the rest of my family. He's not I promise." Remus nodded, "I'm sorry Alyssa, it's just..." I shook my head, "no it's alright. We all are stressed out right now."

After dinner I gave Remus a small smile as he handed me my coat. "You ready?" He asked. I nodded, following him and Tonks out the door giving Harry a small hug goodbye. I stepped outside feeling odd, as Remus stopped walking suddenly.

A large ball of fire came flying towards the house and that's when I saw Bellatrix. I couldn't stop myself I raced forward trying to get her, "ALYSSA NO." Remus screamed, I ignored him running faster than I ever had before, jumping through the firewall. "I killed Sirius black. I killed Sirius black." She was singing it loud enough for us to hear. "Alyssa." I heard Harry call from somewhere out in the field.

A death eater landed directly infront of me and I began aggressively fighting it. Harry ran straight into me, holding up his own wand. I saw Bellatrix through the field, "you bitch," I hollered, trying my hardest to kill her. "Alyssa." Remus called standing infront of me. "Move. You're not dying for me too." I threw myself back in front chasing after her, but she shot up and I took a few steps back, staring at the Weasley home in disbelief, it was on fire, flames shooting everywhere, and it was crashing down before us. Tonks gently set her hand on my shoulder which I shoved off aggressively quickly making my way back to their house.

I stood beside Fred and George, looking up at it in horror. Moments later I felt someone behind me, when I looked up I could tell it was Remus. I turned around pressing my face into his coat, I couldn't look at the burrow any longer, my family had done this, I should've fought harder I should've hurt her, but I wasn't strong enough, not against someone as crazy as Bellatrix.
