When I went back outside it was no longer nice out as it was before. It was storming heavily the sky's were dark, and rain was pouring down on us. I pulled up my hood squinting to try and follow Harry, I was also looking out for Cedric, which I wasn't about to admit. I lost most of the game because of the rain but I could see Harry falling out of the sky. "Harry," I screamed.
Dumbledore stood up saving Harry last minute. I stood there in shock as he was carried to the hospital wing. When he woke up, a group of us was there standing over him. "How are you feeling?" I asked. He shrugged sitting up, "who won?" I smiled, and Hermione filled him in on the bad news. I took this as my chance to slip out.
I was walking in the halls and Draco stopped me. "Heard about you and Father." I pulled away, "don't touch me." He rolled his eyes, "I wouldn't want too trust me." I started walking again, "hey would you mind if I took your room, seeing as your won't be coming home. I was thinking during Christmas..." Professor Lupin rounded the corner, "ahh Ms.Malfoy, care to accompany me?" I nodded glaring at Draco as I followed Lupin. "I heard what he was saying thought you should step away." I smiled, "you're probably right sir." He laughed, "so what are your plans for Christmas? Are your friends staying here?" I shrugged, "I haven't asked, I'm too scared they'll ask what I'm doing." Professor Lupin nodded, "I see. Would you care for a tea?" I accepted following him into the office. When we got there I saw Harry waiting in the classroom. "Ahh Harry I've forgotten what we had arranged for today. I'm sorry Ms.Malfoy." I shrugged turning to walk out, "why don't you stay, maybe you could learn too?" Harry suggested. Professor Lupin nodded, "would you like too?" I nodded, standing in the corner listening as Lupin explained what we were going to do, and Harry went first. A dementor flew out of the cage and I watched as Harry collapsed, suddenly I wasn't feeling so confident. Lupin helped him sit up and then urged him to take a break leading me to the centre. "Remember happy thoughts Alyssa." I thought of my mother, smiling down at me, then prepared myself for the boggart.
Father stood infront of me holding up his wand case, I cringed as it came barreling down at me. "Weak." He spat, giving me a disgusted look. "What a pathetic excuse for a daughter." He glared at me, "when the lord comes, I will offer you up to him. And he will take no regret in killing you." I bit my lip looking away. "If only you were like Draco." I began crying slightly, "I hate you." He grinned, "what was that daughter? Do you have something to say." I shook my head no cowarding away. "Just wait till they get their hands on you. He will show no mercy." Father raised his wand casting the CRUCIO curse and my body felt as though thousands of knives were stabbing into me, "this Christmas will beone of our best. A happy family, me, your mother, and our beloved son, Draco."
"Alyssa," I felt someone shaking me awake. I jumped back when I saw Lupin and Harry infront of me. "Are you alright?" Harry asked offering his hand, I took it still trembling as I stood up. "I should probably go... this isn't going well." Professor Lupin shook his head. "Alyssa, you're safe here. It's okay to be afraid of someone." Harry nodded, "is it true what he was saying? Are you really "kicked out"?"I nodded slowly holding back my tears. "Why wouldn't you tell us." I scoffed, "why would I want to tell you guys that Harry?" Professor Lupin gave me a reassuring smile, "they care about you." Harry pulled me into a hug, "I'm sorry." I hugged him back feeling Professor Lupin set his hand on my shoulder, "you'll be okay, remember what I said, you're better off without them." I gave them a small smile, "this stays between us." Both nodded, "of course Alyssa." Harry narrowed his eyes, "so what's Draco saying." I shrugged, "doesn't matter," professor Lupin handed me a piece of chocolate, "why don't you two rest."
I thanked him heading out to the dorms, Harry walked with me. "Did you hear about Hagrid? Buckbeak?" He asked. I shook my head no. "They're executing him." I nodded, I knew this was because of my father and Draco. We walked up to the dorm bumping into Ron and Hermione on the way. There was a line up to the common room. "What's going on?" Ron asked. He then answered his own question blaming Neville for forgetting the password again.
"Hey," Neville said from behind us this caused me to smile, even Harry grinned. Dumbledore shoved his way through and that's when we learned the fat lady was attacked by Sirius black. Harry grabbed my hand nervously. "It's okay," I whispered scared myself. Sirius was my family, I never met him, I did meet Regulus though, I don't remember him much, but I know I met him. He looked like Sirius, but never talked about Sirius.
All the students were asked to sleep in the great hall, so I found a mattress beside Fred and George, since Harry Ron and Hermione were behind. We sat in a corner and they were telling us jokes lightening the mood. "You're barely laughing at our jokes." Fred whined. I scoffed, "Fred it's hard to laugh at a time like this." He shrugged continuing to make fun of the situation. I decided to go for a walk around the room, Percy stopped me about two minutes in, "Malfoy what are you doing? Go to your mattress immediately." I rolled my eyes turning away, and Cedric waved me over. "Hey," Cedric said patting the mattress. I sat down smiling, "hello." We sat together the entire night, he reassured me, telling me stories about himself to keep my mind distracted.
