I didn't get up until late morning, they were all sitting down, they seemed to be planning our next move. "Alyssa." Harry smiled pulling out a chair for me. "Morning, sorry I left last night, I was just tired." Hermione nodded, "it's alright, we found something." I raised my eyebrow waiting for them to continue. "The locket, Sirius' brother had it first, and now we believe umbridge is in possession of it." I groaned, "I hope you don't mean that bitch." Ron laughed, "oh it's her alright. We're going into the ministry. Poly juice potion." I nodded, "when do we leave?" Harry smiled, "right now."
We apparated to outside the ministry, taking out four members. I pulled a hair off of one women quickly drinking the potion. When I stood up I was wearing giant heels, a tight black skirt with a blouse tucked in. We followed other ministry members into the place using toilets as transportation. When we stepped out the place had become dark, known death eaters were marching around, grabbing people they believed to be mudbloods. "Let's just get that locket." I said. Ron and Harry had to leave. Which left Hermione and I with Umbridge going down to the dungeons. We sat together in the back rows watching a women begin to get interrogated.
Shortly after we saw Harry and Ron come through the hallway. Harry hit umbridge and I immediately stood up fighting with other ministry members. "Run." I screamed taking off. People started recognizing Harry and soon we had several ministry workers following us. When we made it back to the washroom Hermione apparated us to the forest. I landed hard, and when I looked over Rons arm was split. "In my bag." Hermione instructed. I did as she said throwing over a little bottle. Harry set up our tent, and when Ron was all patched up we stared at the locket.
"Go on now Harry." I said. He held up his wand using several different spells to destroy it but none worked. We eventually stopped trying and Harry put the necklace on.
Each night one person took a turn guarding our tent, we hadn't moved much because of Ron, we had also discovered the locket brought out a side of evil in each one of us. Which was just another thing we each took a turn wearing.
When Ron was slightly better we continued our journey, which basically involved an incredible amount of walking, and finding nothing. I had also recently discovered Dumbledore gave an artifiact upon his death to Harry Ron and Hermione. Something to help us, but he didn't leave me anything which was making me think he didn't entirely trust I was going to stick by Harry over my family.
This thought never left my head, tonight I was sitting miserably at the table Harry and Hermione were discussing possible ideas that I knew would only lead us to nothing. Ron came into the room from his bed staring angrily at Harry. "Have you forgotten I'm here?" He asked. Harry stood up staring at him, "is there a problem?" Ron nodded, "do you know why I listen to this radio everyday to hear if something happened to anyone in my family." Harry scoffed, "you think I don't know that, that I'm not scared?" Ron shook his head, "you don't know because you don't have any family left." They lunged at each other which made me get up shoving them back. "Enough." I hollered. Ron glared at Harry, "I thought you were leading us to something, all this time we've accomplished nothing." Harry shook his head, "if you want to leave then leave I've told you everything Dumbledore told me." Ron grabbed his bag stomping out of the tent, Hermione ran after him and I sunk back down. "He's not wrong Harry, do you have any idea what we should do next?" He shook his head, "I don't. I'm sorry." I nodded, "I'm going to take watch."
The next morning the three of us packed up early, Hermione was upset barely speaking to us, and for the next few days it stayed like that we barely spoke to each other. We were all defeated, cold, and lonely. I couldn't describe how lonely I felt, which I know is odd considering I was with two other people. "We need to go to Godrics Hollow." Harry told us. I raised my eyebrow, "is that the best idea, wouldn't they be expecting you to go there?" He sighed, "that's where I was born it's as good as a place for a horcux as any other." I looked at Hermione to see her thoughts and she agreed. That night as I was laying down, Harry came and offered me his hand. "What?" I asked slightly annoyed. He didn't answer but was persistent that I got up. He turned up the radio and spun me around. He then got Hermione up and the three of us danced, and smiled for what seemed like the first time in days.
