Both of them looked at me and sighed. "Don't say that, there are so many people here that care for you." Sirius assured me. "I don't care, and I don't think you're understanding." Remus stood up and I heard voices coming from downstairs. "Whoever that is, keep them as far away from me as possible." Sirius stood up waving his wand I watched as all my belongings flew from my room across the hall to another empty bedroom. Remus led me into that room and when I glanced down the staircase I saw a flash of ginger hair, the entire Weasley family was here.

There were two beds set up here, and a mattress lay on the floor. "We had to make room for everyone who's staying this summer." I closed my eyes wishing everyone would just stop. It was like they were all moving forward with their lives, but Cedric only died today, I was stuck in time. "Can I stay in your room while they move everything in?" Remus nodded and took me to the room him and Sirius were now sharing. "Do you want to lay down?" I shook my head, "I can't feel anything Remus." He sat down beside me, "what do you mean?" I sighed, "I loved him so much. I can't even explain how much. He was my best friend, and he meant the world to me. And now he's dead, and I can't feel anything because it doesn't feel real." Remus nodded, "I know how close you were I saw it last year Alyssa." I lay my head on his shoulder. "Then why do I feel nothing?" He hugged me, "you're in shock." I closed my eyes trying to force myself to process what had happened.

The door opened and Sirius came back in, "our meeting is starting soon." Remus nodded, "I don't think we should leave her right now." I sighed, "no I'm okay." Sirius gave me a small smile, "we won't be long, then I'll send Remus right back up here." I turned to face the window and Sirius placed his hand on my shoulder, "he's already looking down on you." I nodded, "are you talking about him today?" Remus nodded, "but you're not ready to be there, we'll tell you everything you need to know after."

I heard Fred and George's voices from across the hall, I slowly pushed open the door and saw them
moving into the room where I was also staying. "Who's sleeping on the floor?" I asked smiling. George grinned, "I vote Fred, how about you?" I nodded, "I'm gonna have to agree." I sat down on my bed watching them throw their stuff around. "I'm really sorry Alyssa." George said sitting down beside me. "Cedric was a good guy." I nodded, "he was. Thank you guys." Fred held up wizards chess, "I say we have a tournament." George rolled his eyes, "she just lost the love of her life moron." I laughed, "maybe later Fred." I stood up, "well I'll let you unpack. This is my bed remember that." They nodded and I let myself out walking back to where I was before.

I stared out the window starting to feel a little more empty. I heard a knock and turned around. "Funny, I'm knocking to come into my own room." Sirius hugged me tightly, "he was brave. Alyssa. That's all you need to know." I looked away, "was it painful? did it hurt?" Sirius sighed, "no it was quicker then blinking." I nodded, "do you know who did it?" He shook his head, and Remus came in speaking up, "it doesn't matter who, because you can't go after them. As angry as you may be, you just can't." I sat down, "what if it was my father?" Sirius shrugged, "if it was, we're still not letting you go after him."

I stood up, "I'm going home, I need to talk to him." Sirius pushed me back down, "this is your home." I shook my head, "I need to know. He won't hurt me, he didn't at the task. And that's a risk I'm willing to take. Please." They both looked at each other, "I have the bracket, I'm doing this for Cedric, I owe him." Remus sighed, "after knowing everything he did to you last summer it's hard for us to just agree to that." I nodded, "I understand, but I'm not afraid to fight back now, I know I have people I can come back too." Sirius eventually agreed, "you can go tomorrow, but just so you know I do not agree with this, you're in shock, focus on accepting what has happened." Remus nudged him, "it takes time Alyssa, if you feel this is what is best to help you understand then I'm trusting you know what is best." I thanked them, and started to walk out. "You're pretending you're okay now but I know it hurts already, and trying to take that hurt out on your father will not end well."
