Chapter 26

Cedric,
   It's Alyssa, I don't know if Dumbledore wrote to you or not, but I'm safe. I miss you a lot, and I've spoken to Remus and he said you were more than welcome to come and visit tomorrow, it would be nice. I hope you're having a good summer far. I love you.

   Hello everyone, I hope you're summer is good, I'm alright. I'm assuming Harry is there with you maybe Hermione. Hopefully I can see you soon.

The next morning I heard a knock and smiled as Remus came in. "Did I wake you?" I shook my head laying back down. "I think your lying." He sat down beside the bed and I groaned rolling over. "I think this might get you up." I felt him set a letter down beside me. "Cedric's coming he should be here in about an hour." I shot up, "what? An hour?" I threw off my blankets standing up. "That didn't take much." I grabbed my bathrobe and brush, "that's no time how am I supposed to get ready." He laughed, "you'll be fine." I turned around to reply but remembered my time schedule, and hurried into the shower.

I made record timing quickly brushing out my hair and applying makeup before making my way back into the room. Mum gave Sirius a bag of my things including most of my clothes I wore a pair of leggings and the sweater Ced gave me for Christmas.

I nodded at myself in the mirror approving my appearance then went downstairs, Sirius was already gone which left me and Remus. "Eat something." I sat down taking small bites of my eggs and toast. "You alright?" He asked sitting down across from me. I nodded, "I missed him." Remus smiled, "ah to be young and in love." I rolled my eyes, "so is there rules when he's over?" Remus sat back, "I think no closed doors is reasonable?" I nodded, "much more reasonable than Sirius." He laughed and poured me a cup of water. "I hope you have a good day." I thanked him, "I hope so too, I did yesterday I really missed mum." He smiled, "everyone misses their family at some point." I bit my lip, "is it bad how much I miss home sometimes, not my father obviously, but the house and even Draco." Remus sighed, "I don't think that's a bad thing at all. But what about here? Sirius is your family I can tell you that he loves you an incredible amount already. And I am extremely happy you put your trust in me to get you out. You've made both our summers much less boring," I shrugged, "I think both of you have been better fathers to me then my actual one ever was in just these past weeks. Thank you." He used magic to clean up the dishes, "thank you for giving me the chance to see what it was like to have a child. Don't think I want one." I smiled rolling my eyes, "don't think I want any more awful dads." He wrapped me in a hug, "I know, that's why we're here." I laughed pulling away, but my smile faded instantly when I heard the fireplace go off. Remus smiled, "breathe, I'm sure he missed you just as much."

When I saw him walk out smiling at me I raced forward jumping into his arms. "Hey beautiful." I held on tightly, "Cedric." Remus stood in the doorway smiling, "hello Mr. Diggory." Cedric waved, "hi sir." Remus nodded, "I'll let you two be." I took Cedric into the living room and sat down next to him. "Alyssa, you're gorgeous, but what happened you look beat up, and rough." He pushed back my hair. "My father, he did a lot, he tortured me." I showed him my arm. Cedric carefully ran his fingers along the cut. "I'm so sorry Lyss." I shook my head, "I'm okay now, and that is what matters." He nodded pulling me into his chest. "What is it like here?" I lay my head down, "I love it so much." He ran his hands through my hair, "you're amazing you know that." I laughed, "tell me about your summer, how's your father?" He sighed, "he's good, actually something to tell you about that. I'm not sure you're gonna be happy." I looked up at him, "what?" He kissed my forehead, "he's picking me up, really wants to meet you." I groaned, "Cedric no, I look like I'm part of a street gang." He shook his head, "he works with your father, he knows what an awful person he is Lyss, he won't think one bad thing about you." I rolled my eyes, "you told him everything didn't you, you little daddy's boy." Cedric started tickling me, "come on now, the man thinks your amazing, I know he'll love you." I nodded, "if you say so. Would you be up for some games? I learned how to play Wizards chess?"

We sat down on the ground playing chess for over two hours. "You're not lying you've gotten pretty good." I laughed, "no I got tired off the stupid pieces yelling at me." He nodded, "I don't blame you." He stood up pulling me with him and we made our way back to the couch, I started a muggle movie, Cedric sat back and I lay in his arms.
