The Lady and the Genius.

Some time to relax.

(This is what I imagine is behind the counter but filled with books and the middle part is lower so it's attached to the counter and the side parts are glass all the way.)

A month has passed and we've all been able to relax as much as we could. The team was going to all visiting me at my store and were going to see how fully hectic it can get.
"Josh I swear to the god of the underworld! You throw that book imma drop kick ya!"
"Would like to see you try!" He exclaimed before throwing the book just as the bell rang and I went after him.
'God I hope that's my team.'
"Welcome to the Book of Wonders! Here we sell books for your enjoyment and wonder!" Josh exclaimed before ducking since I threw my broom. "Ya missed!"
"I'll show you missed in a second." I exclaimed as I jumped up onto one of the smaller display shelves and rushed across it.
"That's cheating River!"
"Using advantages actually."
I jumped off and quickly swept his feet with mine, making him fall onto his back into the beanbags.
"Lasted longer against you this time."
"I still beat you though."
"Cause you did that whole onto the displays thing."
"Yeah I hope I didn't damage it."
"Should be fine." He told before I stood up and helped him up.
"What up old man?" Josh said as he looked towards who entered to see it was my team.
"I see it's still the same old same old here." Spencer told.
"That reminds me. Josh this is my team from the BAU, team meet Josh."
"Hey. I'm going to grab your broom." He told before walking off.
"Is your shop always like this?" Derek asked
"Yeah pretty much." I told as the door opened again to show my hipsters. "My hipsters!"
"Our book lady!" They exclaimed as Q signed it.
"Hey guys." Penelope said.
"Hey it's the tech girl." West added as they tossed their things to the side.
There was a scream and Jade came rushing out with a pot on fire making Q hold the door open as she rushed out and then covered the pot with it's lid.
"She's learning chemistry for fun." I stated as she came back in.
"Hey. I'm Jade." She told
"Jade this is Aaron Hotchner, David Rossi, Derek Morgan, Jj or as I call J, Emily Prentiss and you already know Penelope and Spencer."
"I do. It's nice to meet you all." She told before turning to me. "Do they know?"
"Yes, they know."
"Oh goodie."
"She knew?" Derek asked
"Yeah. She knew."
"There's the cake in the oven!" She exclaimed before rushing off to get it.
"Kat, can you help her. Q you can start your lessons with Penelope. West, can you get the box of books from the storage room since I can sort them out now. Josh, when are you heading home?"
"I've got another hour or so, so I can help here."
"Awesome."
"We can come back another time." Aaron suggested.
"Oh no this is how she always is." West told as he went to get the books and Kat went to help Jade.
Q signed to them and only got confused looks.
"They don't know sign." Penelope told making them nod.
"Q said, the shop is known for being chaotic which is why so many of us love this place. We are able to loosen up then we would in other places."
"Q, I'm wondering if you could tell me what River signed to the camera. I only know the I love you part of it." Penelope asked as she pulled the tablet she had and showed them.
Q was quick to write down the meaning as West came back with the books and I went to work rearranging. I hooked my right leg into the ladder as West handed the books to me while Josh pushed me around on the ladder.
"River, why did you sign sorry?"
"Because I was sorry about things."
"Anything we can do to help Il mio piccolo genio?" David asked.
"Help sort things."
"Oh my!" Jade exclaimed as we flew past the entrance way to get to the break room.
"Be careful Josh. The cake she is making is for her niece and nephew."
"A healthy boy and girl." She told before ducking from West throwing a book towards Kat.
"The heartless killer and the disappearance. Strange title to be here don't you think River?" She questioned.
"Many people wanted to read it so I've had to buy a few. Put it in the glass cabinet over in the corner." I told before getting given another book from Spencer.
"It's meant to be up in the restricted section. Found it in the children section." He told.
"You heard the man Josh." I added before we began to move there.
"Why is there a story book in the cooking section?" Aaron asked.
"Found a dictionary in the horror part." Emily added.
"Found the book of Greek gods in the language section." J added.
"We found fighting in the science area." Kat and West told as one.
I looked down to Josh to see he instantly put his hands up.
"This wasn't me Doc."
I looked up in the restricted section to see a history book. I pulled it out to see the Hazelnut Corporation written in a gold lettering and opened it to show a letter.
'Soon my little mouse. The boogeyman is close.'
"Jade go home early."
"You sure? There's still a lot of work and it's only lunch time."
"I'm sure. Just bring the pot back in since the fire would have died down now. Kat, West and Q, I want you guys to drop Josh off at home."
"Doc I can get home myself." He told.
"I don't like the thought of you going by yourself. So go with them please." I told before getting off the ladder.
"If you say so Doc. I'll grab my bag and we can go." He told.
I watched them leave before rushing to my computer room and getting my security up.
"River what's wrong?" Penelope asked.
"Note in this book." I told as I gave it to Aaron.
"Soon my little mouse. The boogeyman is close."
"Yep. Meaning either one of my customers is my stalker and did that when neither me or Jade were in the back or doing something else, to do the whole thing. Or the one I'm hoping it isn't, is that the stalker broke in."
"Hence why you sent them all home." Emily said.
"Yep." I told before pulling up my system.
"Won't that take too long?" J asked
"Nope." I told before pushing off the desk so my chair rolled back and I opened the cabinet to reveal the tv I had mounted to the wall.
"Baby why is this spy like?"
"Oh when designing this room I was marathoning get smart and this happened."
"You updated the tv." J stated.
"Welcome to my security system everyone." I told before starting the popcorn machine. "Grab a chair and let's go through this together."

After an hour of nothing I began to rub my face to try and help me refocus.
"Nothing has happened." Derek told.
"Ive only went three months back." I stated
"Aww look guys, Spencer giving River a kiss in the kitchen." Penelope told making them all go awww.
"Good thing we told you guys or else this would have been the reveal." I stated.
"Hold up." J said making me pause the video.
"Go back 5 minutes on camera seven." She told making me go back on it and then made it larger so we could watch it.
We watched the footage and saw someone in a hoodie pick the back door lock before getting in.
"Found out how the stalker got in." Derek stated
"That was extremely quick." Emily added.
"Multiple people can pick locks. I know how to cause of my cousins."
"Should we ask Il mio piccolo genio?"
"My cousins and me would have contest to see who could pick a lock the quickest Nik usually won the most." I told as I clicked for the main lobby and saw them come in and move about.
We watched as they rearranged things and found where I kept the book they used to keep the letter in the display case that I had installed into the wall before putting it in the restricted area. They put something above the case they got the book from before leaving. I instantly paused it and brought it back a few seconds and paused it again before enlarging the image. I leaned forward and saw the one place I didn't ever want to see.
"Does that say Moons Mental Institution?" Emily asked
"Your stalker is from a mental institution?" Derek questioned.
"River...." Spencer began.
"That's a staff jumper. You can only get that if you work there, they don't give them out to patients." I stated
"How do you know that?" Rossi asked
"Because it's where Daisy works. Which means they know what they know because of that place." I told before getting up and moving my ladder to where they placed something.
"Why would they be able to learn about you from that place?" J asked
"River maybe it's time you tell them about that." Aaron stated
"I don't want to talk about it."
"River we can help you." Derek told
"I know you guys can help. You guys are helping..... I just..... I just can't handle what will happen if I do. Because it's not great, and if I tell you guys then..... what if I tell and the exact same thing happens like last time?"
"What happened the last time?" David asked
"She became a hostage in the bank. She ran out of my place when I asked her about it."
"How did you find out about it?" Penelope asked
"On Halloween, she went to get out food since the delivery guy thought he was lost so she went to get it while I stayed back. Her phone began to ring so I picked it up thinking it was mine and I found out about the place that way. And when I finally asked her about it she left my apartment and went to the bank, to which she became a hostage."
"River you won't be a hostage again. The chances of that happening is unlikely." J stated.
"I just can't." I told before grabbing some gloves and heading up the ladder.
Once I got to the top I looked to see an envelope and carefully grabbed it before putting it in a bag that Spencer grabbed so we could add it to evidence.
