The Lady and the Genius.

I could do with suger.

We came back from the scene to see it looked the same to all the other cases.
'Why hasn't River texted me again?'
I felt my phone buzz making me pull it out to see it was from River.

"Who said 'She's mad but she's magic. There's no lie in her fire'?"
"Charles Bukowski. Another one you heard about?"
"Yeah. Also I know you don't want me to go into your work space cause of who you work with but I got you a coffee and some doughnuts?"
"I'm on the way back to the building I'll text you when I get there."
"Will do Dr."

"That your girlfriend?" Morgen asked with a smirk.
"She isn't my girlfriend. Just someone I share some interests with." I told
"So how long have you known her." He asked like he was being a teenage school girl.
"About a year nearly two ago. She works near my apartment so that's how we met. Is there any more questions you must know about her?"
"When do we get to meet her?"
"Never." I told
"That's mean pretty boy. I want to meet your friend. Not every day we get to know you have friends outside of work."
"Everyone has a friend outside of work."
"Yeah but never usually you."
"She knows that I work with people who profile and doesn't want to be profiled wether it be on purpose or on accident."
"Well Morgan you can ask him more questions later since we are now back at base." Hotch told as we pulled in.

"Just arrived back. Text when your outside and I'll be down."

We made our way upstairs and I took my bag off and began to place all the new photos out on the board to go with everything else.
"Same m.o.?" Jj asked as she made her way over to the board as well.
"Everything is the same as all the other victims. Which leaves 3 more till they could disappear." I explained before my phone buzzed.

"Down stairs outside. Hurry or the coffee will go cold or I decide it's mine."

"I'll be back I need to grab something." I told before rushing downstairs to see River.
Once I got downstairs I walked over to see her with a hoodie up to hide her identity from everyone upstairs.
"That was quick Dr." she told as she handed the coffee and bag of doughnuts to me.
"You know you didn't need to get me this stuff."
"Thought I might since your pretty stress with the recent case. How is that going by the way?"
"New victim. Same m.o. and everything."
"Which leaves 3 more if they stick with 8."
"Exactly. This is really good coffee." I told making her smirk.
"Yeah I put 15 sugar bags in it."
"Good number."
"Why thank you doctor. Also if you can't come in tonight I can put some of the books aside that you may like and just hold them till you can."
"I should be able to come in tonight. I feel like we are missing something to do with the case."
"Could be a sibling or parent. Or a parental figure that they had some sort of strong feelings for. Could also be the person that finally made them snap in some way or another."
"Thank you so much that actually might help."
"No problem Dr...." she was cut off when we heard the door behind me open
I turned around to see Morgen there with a smirk.
"I will see you later." I told.
She gave a quick hug before running off.
"See ya later Dr.Reid." She shouted as she waved.
"By Dr." I shouted as she ran.
I waved as I had a smile and Morgan rushed over before stopping between me and my view of her.
"I could just chase after her you know."
"Yeah she will pepper spray you." I told smirking before making my way back inside as I had more of my coffee.
'That was close. Probably should tell her to not come here for awhile since Morgan will definitely do that again.'
Once we made our way back to the others in the break room they all looked over at me.
"There are enough for everyone." I told as I placed it on the bench next to me.
"It was his lady friend." Morgan told.
"She was just dropping coffee and doughnuts for me since she knows I've been a little stress lately."
"Did you get a look at her Morgan?" Jj asked
"No. She had a hood up and as soon as I was seen she bolted."
"Why is me having a friend so interesting to everyone?"
"She's a Doctor like him." Morgan told.
"I'm friends with someone who has a doctorate and is a female. There is nothing wrong with that."
"I was roommates with someone who had a doctorate during the academy." Jj told with a shrug.
"See. Jj knows someone with a doctorate analysis that."
"She lives on the other side of town was the last that I heard from. Both been busy." She told
"Well as interesting as that is. I'm more curious on why Spencer won't let us meet his friend."
"Sure we will meet her one day." Prentiss told as she grabbed a doughnut.
"No he said never to me in the car."
"She doesn't like being profiled and I would rather keep her away from the type of things we need to deal with."
"She's a Doctor. Sure she would have seen stuff close to what we deal with." Prentiss said as she began to eat the doughnut.
"She never went for the whole doctor thing. Decided she wanted to own a shop instead..... and I've said too much." I said as I realised.
"Owns a store and is a doctor. Interesting."
I grabbed my own doughnut along with one that was in its own little bag and made my way to Garcia.
'Let's hope they will forget about River so things can go back to normal for us two.'
