The Lady and the Genius.

I have to do what?!

I was in the conference room staring at the board trying to work out something.
'My mind is a massive blur.'
"Rio! In the car I realised we forgot to bring this beauty in." He told as he put the case down on the table.
"You kept this?!" I asked as I quickly got up and rushed over to it.
"What is that baby?"
"My baby!" I told as I pulled out my violin and hugged it. "I've missed you!"
"You actually own a violin." Prentiss said in shock.
"She rocks the violin." Joe told
"She left it with us by accident so we've kept hold of it. But now we are here and her baby is reunited with her."
"Oh my god it's still got the shitty paint job I did where I painted the great wave on it. Do you guys still have that gold one we got?"
"Oh yes actually we do. I think that's also in the car." Tim told "I'll quickly get it since there are a few cops out there smoking."
He ran out and I was getting giddy.
"I've really missed you baby." I told it.
"Oh you finally got the violin back." J said as she walked in Hotch, Rossi and Spencer with coffee.
"Guys I could have made you coffee." I told before going back to hugging my violin.
"When did you get a violin?" Hotch asked.
"When I was 7. It was a gift from my mother." I told as I showed it. "She told me I was terrible but with a bit of love and patience I could just be like Ginette Neveu."
"Maybe on the way home you can play us something." Rossi told
"Maybe. I haven't played in so long since I left them with the boys."
"Them?" They asked which had Tim fun back in.
"Ok so it was under the passenger seat which is weird. But I found it." He told as he placed the second case on the table.
I placed the first one down carefully and opened the second case to show my gold one.
"Oh she is still beautiful."
"We took care of them for you." Vix told as he gave a nudge.
"Why two?" Morgan asked
"Well the gold one was for us to toss around and what not since I didn't want to damage my first one. So when we had performances that required someone throwing it to me to surprise people we always use the gold one. That and one of our favourite songs to perform with the violin has it mentioning a gold violin, so it's fitting."
"Well we came up with a plan." Hotch told bringing out attention back to the case. "We are going to drag the killer out by having Vix pretend he has a new girlfriend."
"Isn't it too soon?" Vix asked
"Well create a story saying you two had broken up a few month ago but didn't want to make it public just yet." Rossi continued.
"So who's gonna pretend they are dating Vix?" I asked.
They all looked at me and I went wide eye.
"You want me to pretend I'm with Vix?! Victor Vix horn dog Lane?!"
"I feel like I'm being attacked." Vix told making the band laugh.
"Dude she has a point. She is way outta your league." Joe told
"And you have been known to be a horn dog." Tim continued before we all did the joke.
"When I say horn dog you think of Vix." We all said making him shake his head.
"You guys are the worse."
"Oh you love us baby boy." Tim told
"That's not all." Hotch told.
"It's not?" We all asked.
"We want you to become their singer again." He told.
"You want me to do what?"
"We want you to be the lead singer again to see if maybe the unsub returns and try's to kill you as well." Hotch told
"What's with people wanting me dead?!"
"We don't want you dead River. But you know the band the best and you can actually sing their songs." J told as she came and rested her hand on my shoulder to help calm me.
"Come on Rio, it'll be like all time sake. This time though you can pretend your with Vix."
"Fine. Not because I have to pretend I'm dating Vix, gross."
"Wow thanks."
"I don't mean it like that."
"Besides Vix. We all know the hottest one out of us is River." Joe told again.
"Rio is the hottest."
'Spencer is awfully quite. I really need to talk to him when I get the chance.'
"Ok but I don't know many of your new guys stuff."
"That's an easy fix. Thanks to your perfect memory." Joe told.
"Did you guys work out who you see more then once over the course of the tapes?" I asked hoping to distract myself from what was going to happen.
"A few but we think a few were the victims." Morgan told.
"Right. When do I gotta perform?"
"Tonight." Hotch told
"Alright alright, cool cool cool cool cool cool cool. I'm gonna head back to the hotel and get ready. Stay out of trouble boys." I told as I grabbed my bag to leave
"Trouble is what we do Rio!"
"I'll use one of my slaps if you guys do."
"That fine by us, it leaves you with 12." Joe told
"Stay out of trouble." I told before leaving.
I was joined by Morgan since he wanted to make sure I was protected in case something happened.
'God I wish Spencer came. I want to talk to him about the whole Tim situation.'
We soon got to the hotel and we made our way to the room while Morgan stayed outside of it so I could get changed.
'Ok what do people in bands wear now I have not done this is so long? Wait I have the perfect dress! So glad I went to that shop yesterday night.'

(This is the dress but it also has just past the first joint long kimono sleeves as well.)

I placed my Broom Rider boots on before walking out to Morgan. He looked up at me and a smile grew on his face.
"Baby girl you look beautiful. How did you fit that in your case?"
"I actually brought it yesterday." I told as we began to head back to the station.
"When did you find the time to do that?"
"When we were dismissed for the day. I went straight to this Victorian gothic place that I saw when we drove past and they are open till like 3am it's great."
"I think I love you. Because you are rocking that look."
"Why thank you Morgan. I think I love you for treating me like the queen that I am." I told making him laugh.
'Now for everyone else to see. Shouldn't be too bad.'
