The Lady and the Genius.

Lets celebrate. Part 1.

We went into his office and Garcia was petting her hair as she slept.
"Garcia can you go outside and make Finley a coffee and get her some aspirin that won't cause this effect incase she wakes up with another headache." Hotch told.
"Of course."
Garcia left and Hotch moved to sit in his chair pointing me to one in front of his desk.
I sat down and pushed my hair back out of my face to help calm my nerves.
"Look I understand I should have told Jj but...." I was cut of by him putting a hand out to signal me to stop.
"That's not why you are here. I want to know how long you've known Dr.Finley for."
"Since Jjs partly last week."
"Ok let me ask this then. How long have you known River before Jjs party?"
"You know?" I asked as I put my head down.
"The way you two acted. Usually your nervous when meeting girls but you weren't with River."
"I've grown from when I was nervous around females that I thought are attractive."
"Also just confirmed with how she was speaking about things just before. No one knew that her father shot that man along with that she was the only one to know. No one but you. You've also been the main person to leave and see if she is ok. Also when she revealed about her ex, Morgan was still surprised to hear how long it was except for you. No one else was paying attention to you unless she said your name." He told.
"The one problem with working with profilers. They will catch on to thing you don't want them to. You going to tell the team?"
"No. You two will when you are ready but till you are I will keep quiet about it for as long as you want."
"Thank you Hotch."
"Is there anything else I should know?"
"She's my girlfriend." I told making him smile.
"Found someone exactly like you Reid. It's good to finally meet the famous doctor."
"Are we in trouble?"
"No. Just next time be the one to bring her on the case. But as your dr."
"I will."
The door was knocked on and Garcia walked in with a soft smile on her face.
"Jj is still upset you didn't tell her when you learnt about it."
"I'll go talk to her now." I told as I left my seat to go talk to Jj.

(River p.o.v)

I woke up to yelling and someone playing with my hair. I sat up and could feel my headache was gone but was confused why people were yelling.
"Hey kitten how do you feel?" Penelope told.
"Better. I shouldn't have taken those aspirins."
"Made you coffee. It won't be as good as yours but has a lot of sugar."
"Thanks Penelope. I'm sure it's good anyway."
"You should get some more rest."
"I'm more curious about the yelling." I told as I got up and made my way out to see J being held back from Spencer.
"Babe take my coffee." I told as I held it out for her.
"River I was told you keep you in here." She told
"Tell them I was too quick to catch." I told before putting the mug down and rushing out.
I ran down to them and grabbed J's arm making her calm down.
"Don't be mad at Dr.Reid or Derek. I made them promise not to tell you because I knew you would feel guilty for not knowing when it happened."
"Why wouldn't you tell me this River?"
"Because we had an argument. I was going to but a case you were working on made you stressed and I kept trying to get you to talk for just a second so I could tell you, but you told me that I needed to give you an hour. I don't blame you at all, I don't. I just knew you would feel so terrible for telling me to give you space that I decided to not tell you at all." I told as a few tears went down my face.
I was brought into a hug by J and I held onto her tightly.
"It's ok. I'm here now so everything is fine. He can't get to you."
"Thank you." I told before gesturing for everyone else to join on the hug. "I don't know what I'd do without you."
"Your apart of the family now, Baby. We won't let anything bad happen to you now."
"Thanks my beef cake. Thanks to everyone for accepting me. I know I'm not easy to deal with most days."
"Nonsense. We deal with Reid every day." Emil told making me laugh.
"Na the dr is great. Especially when I need to bounce quotes or facts off since non of you guys know what I've seen." I told making them laugh.
"Should we celebrate by getting Chinese food?" Spencer asked with a smile on his face.
"You have to use chopsticks if you do." Derek told
"That's fine."
"First we need to do paper work since we were able to match the time of his death being a week after the last victim had died." Aaron told.
"You can sit with me for paperwork." J told as she pulled me to her desk.
'I have a family again.'

After they got their paper work done and me treating them for a coffee that I made, we all made our way to the nearby Chinese restaurant. We were sat at a large round table and I was sat between Spencer and J again. Once we got the food we all grabbed the chopsticks minus Spencer.
"Spencer you promised." Derek told
"I'm getting my new chopsticks." He told as he grabbed the box and pulled the chopsticks I gave him.
He gave a smile as he showed the team making me smile.
"Dude that is adorable. Where did you get them?" I ask
"They were a gift."
"From dr?" J asked.
"Yeah. She got them for me since she knows I can't use chopsticks. I feel bad really."
"Anniversary of you guys meeting coming up?" David asked
"Yeah in about a month. Be two years since I went into her bookshop and she hit me with a broom. I haven't got a clue what to get her." He told before realising his mistake.
"She owns a bookshop!" Derek exclaimed before turning to look at Penelope.
"I can run back and see for you."
"No you two won't. Spencer will introduce us to her when he is ready." Aaron told before winking towards us.
'Shit. He knows.'
"He knows something!" Penelope accused making us laugh.
"Of course I know. I've even met her."
"How come Aaron gets to know and not us?" Emil asked.
"Because he is my boss."
We began to have a great time and were impressed when Spencer didn't lose as much food as he usually would with regular chopsticks. We decided to get drinks after at the pub a few spaces down making me and Spencer get an idea.
"Spencer! Wizard of oz with me!" I told as we linked arms and made our way down having everyone laugh.
"Oh I want to join! Come on Derek link your strong arms with me!" Penelope told as she joined up and we continued to make our way to the pub.
