The pub is nice.

(River p.o.v)

We were sitting at one of the stalls in the back and were waiting for our onion rings and chips from the bar.
"You know I'm surprised you agreed to this Dr."
"Well you used your Bambi eyes on me."
"I knew they worked on you!" I told as I pointed a finger at him. "But I'm serious. You have work tomorrow and you usually do most of your celebrations with your work mates."
"You looked like you needed it. Especially after the weird letter." He mentioned making me freeze a bit.
'Just breath gets doesn't know.'
"Not that weird. Just from my cousin, they live around and sometimes forgets which letterbox is mine so they decided to stick it to my door."
"Understandable then."
"So new case what have the team worked out so far?" I asked changing the topic.
"Not much. Killer left a poem and that's about it. We won't fully know till there is another body sadly."
"Strange. This time though I won't be a target."
"You say that now." He said before he gave a small chuckle.
"Your coworkers seems to like the idea of me. Morgan really wants to get to know me."
"They think we are dating."
"Why wasn't I told that?" I asked making him laugh.
"I mean I wasn't either."
"Twinning!" I shouted before our food showed up. "Food!"
He laughed and before I was able to grab some chips the hair on my arm raised and I quickly looked around to see no one looking.
"River you ok?"
"Yeah. Just felt like someone was watching, it's fine."
"You know if something wasn't fine you can always tell me."
"I know. Let's just enjoy these chips Dr.Reid."
"Of course Dr.Finley."
We enjoyed the night and we both had a few too many drinks together (I had many more then the Doctor who stuck to three.).
"I am buzzed....like a bee."
"You would be the Teddy bear bee."
"You calling me big Dr.Reid?"
"Not at all. They are just very cute bees and fluffy."
"You know what else is fluffy?"
"What?"
"A puppy. I really want a puppy but I'm not allowed."
"Why aren't you allowed? We are allowed pets in the apartment."
"Because I've been told no by my roommate."
"You don't have a roommate."
"My roommate from the academy. Kept saying no to having a puppy in our dorm and now I'm puppy less." I told as I rested my head on the table.
"I would let you have a puppy. But we don't live together."
"We should! But then your friends will know who I am and that's shhhh."
"I want you all to meet I'm just worried."
"Why you worried Dr?"
"Because what if you guys don't get along? Or what if you become better friends with Garcia and forget about me. Then I'll lose the only person who understands how I think and let's me go on full rambles."
"You wouldn't lose me doctor. You wanna know why?"
"Why?"
"Because I like you. Like a lot and I don't want to lose you. Besides your better then the person who keeps sending me let...let...let...errrssss. Yes I got it."
"They aren't nice?"
"No not at all. Far from that. I gotta pee."
"Go to the toilet and I'll pay."
"You are the best Dr. cute as well. Dr.Cute is your new nickname." I told before heading to the unisex toilet they have.
While I was leaving I accidentally kicked the legs of someone and I apologised to them before heading back to Spencer.
"Spencer!" I shouted as I wrapped my arms around him. "I'm tired."
"Let's head home then."
"That's a smart idea Dr.Cute."
"Thank you Dr.Finley."
We headed home and I insisted we walked like they did in the wizard of oz. We got back to his place and I began head to his room to get into pjs that I keep there. Without thinking I went into his bed and got comfy. I heard the door open and I opened my eyes enough to see Spencer in the door way.
"Of course you went to my bed."
"Come join the big bed Dr.Reid!"
"I'll sleep on the couch." He told as he walked in and collected his pjs.
"Why not join. There is enough room here. A tall guy sleeps in this bed."
"I know. I'll come back to check on you."
"Okay."
After a minute I felt the covers move which made me open my eyes again to see Spencer again.
"Hi."
"Hey." He said giving a kind smile.
"Am I a good person Spence?"
"Of course you are."
"Even though the notes tell me that I'm not."
"What are those letters River?"
"Bad letters."
"Do you still have them?"
I didn't give him an answer and instead just gave a small nod.
"You want to show me?"
"No."
"River."
"I am just scared you might think differently of me and I don't want that. What am I going to do if you hate me?"
"I'm not going to hate you."
"Your not?"
"No I'm not."
"Then come sleep in the big bed."
"I can't do that."
"Then you do hate me. Great Dr.Cute hates me."
"Fine I'll join the bed."
"Yay."
I moved over and he climbed in and giving me a small smile.
"Thanks Spence."
"Ok you gotta sleep."
"Did you know the whole bitting your lip thing is very attractive."
"Is it?"
"Oh 100% the first time I saw it I went oh damn. And then you knocked my books over and I went ok he is getting hit with my broom."
"Come on go to sleep we have work tomorrow."
"I don't. It's Wednesday my dude." I stated as I took a big breath to scream which he instantly covered my mouth knowing.
"Not tonight. I am not getting a noise complaint from someone screaming."
I poked my tongue out of my mouth and licked his hand which made him instantly take it off and whipped it on me.
"That's disgusting."
"But it worked. But I don't have work tomorrow. Someone suggested I take two days a week off so I'm doing that now."
"That was me."
"That was you! Wow I'm dumb."
"2 points difference River."
"Still doesn't mean your not smarter." I told before going into a deep sleep.
