The Lady and the Genius.

Today is shit.

I woke up with a headache and let out a groan. Yesterday no one asked if I was ok after the whole situation and I went to the shop to see how Jade will go closing up and to see if she followed my instructions. After that I came home to have a early night which Spencer was fine with. I got out of bed and made my way to get some aspirin only to learn I was out of everything but the type that made me drowsy.
'Shit. Oh well pain needs to go.'
I took two and stashed the rest in my bag before I got ready to head to work. Once I was done I grabbed my bag and opened the door to see Spencer.
"Hey." I said as I kept a hand on the door since I could feel the aspirin start to kick in.
"Hey. You ok?"
"Woke up with a headache. So Jade is going to open up again today."
"She knows?"
"Oh shit I don't think I texted her to do so." I told as I grabbed my phone to text her only for Spencer to take it off of me.
"No. You shouldn't use your phone while you have a headache. Are you sure your not coming down with something? You can barely stand straight."
"That's because the only ones I had were the drowsy ones."
"Come on I'll text Jade and drive you to work. I don't trust you on public transport like this."
"Wait! They'll know that we have boned."
"River we would have to do that first before they could find that out."
"Oh true. Well then let's go." I told as I left my place and Spencer helped me to his car before going in on his side.
Once he finished the text on my phone he gave it back to me and began to head to work.
"Did you know I have a big crush on you Spencer. Like it's so big omg I wish we could kiss."
"I didn't know when your on that aspirin you tell me things."
"Oh yeah it's another reason why I hate it. But did you know that I've had a crush on you since the moment we met."
"Really?"
"Oh yeah like a big one. Mike was correct in saying I cheated because I did. I fell for you and looked at your arse which is great by the way."
"River. How many did you take of them?"
"I took two."
"How long do they last?"
"An hour."
"An hour of you speaking your mind?"
"Yes. But I also slip in and out of hyperactive child. It's great."
"I'm sure it will be."

(Spencer p.o.v)

We made it to the base and I had to help River since She nearly fell on multiple occasions.
"You know I love my platforms. They make me close to your hight to kiss you."
"But we aren't going to kiss right now. Since you have a boyfriend remember."
"Your right I do have a boyfriend. I can not wait till I'm off of these medication."
"Come on I'll put you in a nice room for you to take a nap." I told as I helped her into the elevator.
When we got in she looked at all the buttons and reached out to press them all making me grab her other arm to stop her. As soon as the door opened she rushed out and gave J a hug.
"I missed you so much." She told as I made sure I was near her in case she needed help.
"I missed you as well River. Are you ok? Is she ok?"
"Apparently she woke up with a headache and is in hyperactive child mode right now." I told
"Hey baby you look liked you are drunk?" Morgan told as he walked up.
"Derek! My strong beef cake!" She told as she let go of Jj to hug Morgan.
"Is she actually drunk?" He asked as he held onto her.
"Just hold her. Spencer can you pass her bag." Jj asked
I gave her the bag as River began to sway as she hugged Derek. Jj was quickly going through her bag till she found the aspirins packet which was missing more then two. She put it back in without looking away from her bag.
"River how many did you take of these?"
"I took dis many." She told as she showed her hand to Morgan.
"She took two." He told and she continued to hug him.
"Your so strong. I wonder how many books you can carry at once."
"Still thinks about books when like this."
"I will always think about books. I need a coffee!" She told before running off having us chase her.
"River I need you to just come here and we will make you a coffee." Jj told.
"But you guys don't make it as good as me....well except Spencer but that's cause I told him how, but he still did a bad job at it." She told
They looked at me and I gave a shrug.
"While I was taking her to her place yesterday she told me about it saying, I could use it since I drink a lot and I told her it didn't taste the same in the morning."
"Penelope!" She shouted before running to Garcia to give her a hug.
"Hey kitten. Are you ok?"
"Garcia keep hold of her. She gets like this when she has taken Disprin and if we can keep her in one spot long enough she will go into just being an open book. Which will help us get her to sleep in off."
"Hey baby girl are you able to keep her in one spot."
"Yeah I know how as well. Hey River, hows Bruce Campbell?"
"Oh I love him so much. He was the first horror movie my brother introduced me to when dad was out late. As I grew up I just fell in love with the character."
"You have a brother?" Garcia asked and I knew this could go either way.
"Oh yeah. He was nice to me when I was a kid but things changed." She told
"Why is Finley being hugged by Garcia?" Rossi asked as he came in with Hotch.
"She woke up with a headache and has taken aspirin that makes her act like this. Garcia is keeping her in a hug till she calms down enough so she can sleep till they are out of her system."
"Shouldn't someone like Morgan hold her then?" Prentiss asked as she stood next to me.
"She was able to get out of my grip already."
"What is it that you like about Bruce Campbell?"
"His jaw line is so strong. It could be its own chainsaw. Reid can I get a puppy?"
"No, not when your like this." I told.
"I mean if it's working then keep a hold of her."
"Of course."
"Don't tell Spencer this but I think he is really cute. But my boyfriend is also cute. Especially when he quotes the evil dead to me like he did when he kissed me. It was romantic."
"When have you had a boyfriend River?" Jj asked.
"A few days now. We officially got together the day before I went into the wall for a second time."
"This is news to me."
"You always lecture them for ages. I mean I haven't told you about my last one who stalked me for a month and a half.... I shouldn't have said that."
"What?"
"Yeah, Spencer and Derek know about it."
'This is bad.'
"Before we move onto Rivers issues. I've been told that only the last victim was the one who had a bullet in their head." Prentiss told.
"Christian Wood." River told as she went out of her hyper mode.
"Christian Wood?" Hotch asked
"He was a killer who was shot and killed in 1988 after he tried to kidnap a lady in her late 20s early 30s. God I hate those aspirins."
"Seems our usual River is coming back to us." Morgan told
"How do you know this?" Prentiss asked.
"I believe she knows because of who shot him." I told having them look at me.
"Who shot him?"
"Deputy Harold Finley." I told
"My father shot him before he was an officer."
"So the unsub is dead." Jj said in disbelief.
"Exactly. Before he died he said the last girl he ever got to see the life fade away was the quickest he ever did. His victims were never found till now." River told.
"Your dad told you all this?"
"No. I read the file before he handed it in he never knew I read it." She told.
"Garcia take her to my office and get her to sleep." Hotch told.
"Come on kitten. We are going to take a cat nap."
"I love naps. Spencer knows about how much I like naps." She told before she was dragged away.
As soon as we heard the door closed Jj turned to me and Morgan looking mad.
"You two knew she was stalked and you didn't think to tell me?"
"She said not to tell you." Morgan told.
"She told me that she has a restraining order against him. She didn't want to worry you."
"Well now I'm worried. I'm the only family she has left."
"She has her brother."
"She hasn't seen her brother since she was 8. You two are idiots for not telling me this."
"Jj. She is safe now take it easy on the boys. Reid I need you to come with me." Hotch told having me follow him.
