The Lady and the Genius.

Unexpected call.

I was working away in my shop when my phone began to ring. I looked at the number and tilted my head to the side.
'That's a new number.'
I picked it up and placed it to my ear before I spoke.

"Hello this Dr.River Finley. How may I be of help?
"Hey cousin!"
"Why is it that recently I've been in contact with my cousins?"
"Which one?"
"Sniper."
"Oh him. Still can not believe him and Rapunzel share a hate for clowns."
"No he hates them, while Uni boy is scared by them. Besides people with Coulrophobia is 7.8 percent of Americans that have it."
"You and your knowledge. Any way I was calling cause we need some insight."
"Yeah sure. What you need?"
"What do you know about Chupacabras?"
"The name is derived from the Spanish words chupar which means to suck and cabra which means goat and basically translates to goat sucker. They've basically been characterised as the southern equivalent of Sasquatch."
"So how would one say kill it."
"I wouldn't have a clue. But maybe tainted blood would help but it needs to be fresh."
"Why fresh?"
"You really are a dumbass. It needs to be fresh because they are hunters. They don't exactly feast on dead animals."
"Alright. Well one of us will call when we figure this out or something. Be safe Riv."
"You as well De."

I hung up the phone and went back to working when the bell rang.
"I have big news!" Penelope told
"You do?"
"Yes. So, there was this cute guy at the coffee shop and I got his number."
"Congrats sweetie."
"So how is you and your man going?"
"We are going well. He's also confused why my phone rings multiple times a day." I told before it did the same thing.
I grabbed my phone and saw that it was Daisy and I picked it up.
"Hey Daisy. How has things been going?"
"You still haven't picked up their calls."
"I don't want to."
"Sweetie it's important they keep your file up to date."
"I haven't had it updated since I was 14 Daisy."
"Which means it is really needed."

Penelope's phone went off and she gave me the look saying there was a case.

"Look I gotta go Daisy. Case came up."
"Sweetie before you go. I know your birthday is coming up in a couple of weeks but I hope you will accept a call from me on the day."
"Of course."
"Be safe."
"I'll try."

I hung the phone up and looked back at Penelope.
"Let's head out." I told before we left.
