The Lady and the Genius.

Hello hello hello.

I was working away in my shop since Jade fell ill due to food poisoning and I was still deciding whether to join the BAU when the bell rang.
"Hello my name is River. Welcome to my bookshop what is it that you would like?"
"It's your favourite regular."
"Well you don't sound like dr so must be Penelope." I told as I turned around to see her smiling.
"You know Spencer's lady friend?" She asked as she came over to give me a hug.
"No. My boyfriend is a dr as well. He smort."
"You know for someone so smart you don't speak very much like Spencer."
"That's cause I switch depending who I'm talking to or what I'm talking about. Like when I was talking about mummies."
"It was so cute when you two were bouncing off one another. But you have a boyfriend and Derek says I should ship him and the doctor."
"So what do I owe the pleasure of you being here love?"
"Well everyone is doing paperwork and I decided to come see you."
"Come into the back I'll make you coffee."I told as I led her to my kitchen.
I began to make the coffee as she looked around the place.
"So have you decided if your going to join the team?"
"They are going to offer me a job?!"
"Oh I thought you knew! Oh don't tell them that I told you."
"Penelope chill. I was kidding. Here is your coffee." I told as I placed her mug down and began to stir mine.
"So you going to accept it?"
"I'm not sure yet. I mean it was once a dream of mine but then I decided to open my store and now I don't know. I liked helping and putting my knowledge to a good use but I also adore my store. It's just confusing."
"I thought you would also be allowed to run the store."
"Oh I am that's an offer but I'm still unsure. You know there are some stuff in my past and my fathers name will always be the first thing people think when they hear Agent Finley."
"Oh kitten. You know you shouldn't let what other people do get to you. The team accepts you and so does your boyfriend so why does it matter what others think."
"You are correct. Maybe I will I'm just unsure on what to do really."
"Well we are planning a girls night in a few days if everything goes well so we can talk more about it over wine."
"That sounds really nice." I told before feeling my phone begin to ring. "Sorry I gotta take this."
I picked it up and saw it was Spencer.

"Yo what up?"
"You busy?"
"Talking to Penelope so there's that. Why do you ask?"
"Can you bring coffee for the team. We are all stressed and they know you somewhat so why not."
"Why didn't J just ask me?"
"She is busy. And none of us can leave right now."
"Alright I'll pick up some goodies as well."
"Thank you. I'll see you soon."
"See ya soon dude."

I hung up the phone and poured the rest of my coffee down the drain before turning to Penelope.
"We now have a mission."
"Oooo, what are we doing?"
"Getting coffee and goodies for the team. Dr.Reid called and asked if I can bring the team stuff since they aren't allowed to leave."
"Spencer has your number?!"
"Yeah. He has had it since we met since I told him there was this podcast he would like. So we sometimes talk about books and what not. So let's get the team some treats!"
"But your shop."
"Best part about being your own boss you can take a break whenever." I told as she got up and followed me as I went through the process of closing up.
As soon as I turned the sign that we were closed for a bit we made our way to her car as she drove to the cafe near their work.
'Maybe I should accept it.'
We went into the cafe and Penelope picked the goodies for the team while I ordered coffee for them all. Penelope tried to pay but I beat her to it by saying there was a dog. Once we got all the stuff we carried them back to the car and I had the job of babysitting and was terrified.
"Please tell me we are there now."
"River it's just up the road."
"There are so many ways it can still go wrong. I have hot coffee on my lap."
"Well we are nearly there so it will be fine."
'I'll talk to Spencer about wether I should accept or not.'
We soon got there and Penelope helped me not drop the coffees as we made our way to the bullpen. Once the elevator opened they all looked over and a smile grew on their face.
"Who is your favourite person ever?!" I asked as we made our way to them.
"River we didn't know you were coming in." Emily told as she came to give a hug.
"Yeah well I heard you guys needed coffee and goodies. So Penelope helped me since she was at my shop. I'm gonna go give one to Aaron and David, so where they at?"
"Up in David's office."
"Wait! I raided their sugar packets." I told as I put the coffees down and tipped my bag out on the table next to me. "You think that's enough sugar?"
"Baby that is more then enough. How did you get that many?"
"Penelope distracted while I pocketed them."
"Hey River. That's a lot of sugar." Spencer told as he walked up.
"Yeah I had more but I put 15 sugars in mine before we left the coffee place."
"Good number. He told with a smile.
"Oh. This is yours." I told as I handed him one before pocketing more of the sugar and taking two for Aaron and David.
I knocked on the door which made them tell me to come in. I got the handle turned and opened the door with a smile to see them smile back.
"Oh hello Dr.Finley. Is there anything you needed?" Aaron asked giving a smile.
"Actually I bring goods. Coffees and sugars that I raided from the place."
"Sit down and chat with us."
