The Lady and the Genius.

Well this is not what was planned.

It's been about a week since I joined this case and about a week and a night since me and Spencer shared a kiss. Thankfully I didn't need to come in to the BAU right away since I had to show Jade how to grab the shipment of books and where I usually put them, which has made Spencer give me countless lectures that it was a safety hazard. I walked in and saw Jade waiting at the front of the shop. I opened the door for her and made my way to show her how things were to work.
"So how's it like working with your friend?" She asked
"Odd. I've known J since the academy so I try to spend my time with her but my other friend things are just so awkward."
"Well maybe you two should talk about stuff."
"More awkward to do with the fact everyone but Morgan try to have us bond and spend time together."
"Well why don't you?"
"Something we agreed to. Act like we aren't really friends."
"Maybe you should just say screw it and tell him you don't want to pretend. Also tell talk to him about the kiss."
"No! That night was Las Vegas!"
"Just saying it could help. By the way this was at the door for you." She told as she handed me a note I was all to familiar to.
'Shit.'

(Spencer p.o.v)

I was at my desk waiting for River when Jj came back from outside, looking a bit upset.
"Is everything ok Jj?" Rossi asked
"Yeah. River just called me to say she couldn't come in today since they got a lot more books then she realised."
"We will keep her updated then."
'That's not right. River always knows how many books are coming in. Unless....'
I grabbed my phone from my pocket as I got up and headed out of the bullpen.
"Reid where you going?" Morgan shouted
"I gotta see if Dr is ok."

"Hey Spence what's up?"
"What happened? Is everything ok?"
"Everything is fine."
"River I know that's not the case you called me Spence."
"And your at work and called me River and not dr. See we can both point things out."
"Your dodging the questions."
"Can't dodge what you can't see."
"River please. Did you get another note?"

There was silence on her end and I could tell I was correct.

"I'm coming in after work."
"No Spence it's fine you don't have to."
"I know but I want to know you are safe."
"I know."
"How about tonight, we get Chinese food and watch the evil dead 2?"
"I would like that."
"Also I'm making you stay at mine tonight just so I know your safe."
"But....awkward....."
"It's fine. You want to treat it like Las Vegas which I understand. But I would really like to talk about it with you."
"We will see then."
"Perfect. I'll see you later then."
"See you later Dr.Reid."
"I'll see you later Dr.Finley."

She hung up the phone and I made my way back to everyone to see they were worried but also knew a secret about me.
"Is Dr ok?" Hotch asked
"Yeah. I'm going to her shop after work to check up on her."
"Just a check up? Nothing else?" Jj asked which made me look right at Derek.
"You told them that we kiss?!"
"I may have let it slip."
"Morgan!"
"They were curious why you were really worried about her. So I just went it's cause you two shared a lovely moment."
"Spencer it's fine that you like this girl it really is." Prentiss told.
"I know but, I wanted to keep it a secret till I knew if there was any chance of a relationship. She kissed me and tonight is the first time she will actually hang out with me at mine after work."
"Look we are here to support you hun. Maybe enough to meet the team."
"And not like the time when all I saw was her back or when she bolted from yours when we came for drinks."
"I would like that. But after everything is sorted between us."
They all agreed and went back to work and I couldn't wait till I got to see River. Over the week she has been working with us I've haven't stopped thinking about what it would be like if she actually worked with us full time.
'As much as I love her and her passion for the bookstore I would also love it if she worked with us more so I could spend more time with her in and out of work.'
