The Lady and the Genius.

I opened my closet and grabbed the box's I kept them in and walked out to them all before tipping them all onto the table.
"There's two hundred and one letters here if I include the one just now two hundred and two. Would be two hundred and three but the police have one." I told as I looked down.
"How long has this been going for to have that many?" Derek asked.
"Everyday for seven months. At first they weren't that bad but they just get worse. A recent one I got mentioned how they thought it was amazing my voice hasn't changed in the six months of not singing." I told as tears began to fall from my face. "The one from this morning says they hope my dr can protect me from having to relive seeing what my mother looked like when she died with the victim for this morning."
Spencer rushed over to me and pulled me into a hug and wouldn't let me go.
"We are here for you. Your ok we won't let you go through this by yourself now." He told.
"Wait. They know about the victim from this morning?" Emily asked.
"If she is being stalked there's a chance he saw who killed her." Spencer told as he rubbed my back.
"Is there anything else you know about them? Anything will help us kitten." Penelope told as she came and held my hand.
"Other threw a brick through my window of my shop. The note said you can run and hide all you want but the boogeyman will always come and find you. It's a little thing my brother used to say when we played hide and seek."
"How would they know that? Your brother is dead." J said in shock.
"Because I told one. I trusted him and he cheated on me and slapped me and kept me locked in his house for three days before I escaped, and told to go fuck himself right to hell. It's why I moved. He stalked me for three months until I got a restraining order. His name is Mike Hensen." I told as I held onto Spencer tighter. "He slapped me because he thought I was cheating on him with one of my friends who was....who is a customer of mine. He threatened to stabbed him if I didn't stay with him. So I did. My dads training came in handy. Is a prick and he saved me."
"Penelope is there a way....."
"I can do it now. I can head to the office and go to right now."
"No. I can't ask for you guys to do this. Not for me."
"River, we want to help you." Spencer told
"Not if you guys knew my whole past."
"Your past doesn't define who you are. I've known you since you were 15 and you remember what you told me how you wanted me to spend your sweet sixteen?"
"I want to go and say hi to my mum and tell her I'm making her proud. Because I didn't let my past define who I am. I didn't let who my family is define who I am. And also to go to Disneyland."
"And we did both. Except Disney was after we finished the academy. We aren't going to let your past define you River. So let us help."
"He lives at 64 zoo lane." I told
"River. Do you mind if we all go back to work and figure this all out?" David asked as he came over to me and placed a hand on my back.
"I don't mind. Will you guys be taking the letters from me?"
"We have to. They are evidence."
"That's fair."
"Come on I'll sit in the back with you and Jj as Derek drives and Penelope talks to you about Bruce Campbell." Spencer told as he changed so his arm was wrapped around my waist.
"I need my keys. And my sweater."
"I can grab it for you kitten. Where did you leave it?"
"On my bed. Should be next to my bag that I carry since my keys should be in there still." I told.
"I will be right back." She told before rushing to my room.
It didn't take long for her to run back and hand me them. A small smile grew on my face when I realised it was the one I stole from Spencer. I put it on and grabbed my bag from her placing it over my shoulder like usual before Spencer wrapped his arm back around me. I extended my hand out for J to grab which she accepted straight away.
"Come on hun. Let's go take you to the BAU." J told with a small smile.
We walked out and waited for them all to put the letters back in the boxes and walking out with them before Penelope locked the door. We all headed downstairs and got into our respected cars with J and Spencer only letting me go when needed.
"I'm sorry about tonight guys. It was meant to be a celebration and now it's a you can possibly die if your stalker decides to kill you type thing now."
"Kitten it's not your fault. We did celebrate and now we are going to celebrate more by kicking the ass of who ever is stalking you."
"Thanks Penelope."
"Besides when you get back you won't have those letters in your closet and you will have all the gift we got you to return to." J told as she squeezed my hand.
"I mean I will definitely stay the night if it means I get to have more of your pasta. I would even eat Penelope's one just because your cooking is so good baby. How did you get so good?" Derek told making me chuckle when he was whacked on the arm.
"I used to cook with my brother and mum a lot. When she passed me and my brother would do it and then he left and so it was just me. Makes me feel connected to them still."
"Why don't you get some rest? We will wake you up as soon as you get to the office." J told as she rubbed my hand.
"Ok." I told as I closed my eyes and began to fall asleep leaning on Spencer.

(Now River. Your mother is dead because she was murdered by someone. My job is to figure out who killed her and I'm going to need your help to do it. Now let's go see what clues we can find shall we.)

I woke up and saw we were driving into the parking lot of the office and everyone seemed surprised that I woke up.
"You ok River?" I asked
"Yeah. Just a dream of when I was younger."
"Come on we will get you inside." Spencer told as he left the car once it was parked.
The others arrived as I was getting out of the car and we all headed into the office and to Penelope's bat-cave.
"Hey Spence. Can I talk to you for a second?" J asked.
"Uh yeah. I'll be right back." He told me before they split off from the group and we made the way to our destination.
