(Spencer p.o.v)

We were working a case in Queens that River couldn't join us for since she wanted to work at the bookstore for the time being which Hotch allowed. We couldn't get past this one detail for how a victim drowned but I knew one person could.
"We still got nothing on this." Morgan told
"No one can figure it out?" Hotch asked
"I might know someone who could." I told making them all look at me.
"Who is it Reid?" Rossi asked
"Uh, it Dr actually. She studied a lot of chemistry when she was in high school and has a vast knowledge on what might have caused this." I told
"Well call her."
I gave a nod before fishing my phone out of my pocket to call her. After a few rings she picked up.

"Well ahoy hoy to you dr.Spencer Reid. I thought you were working a case."
"I am. We are stuck on what could have drowned the victims."
"Well fire away for I may know."
"Ok. You'll be on speaker for this just so you know."

I put it on speaker and placed my phone on the table so anyone could just jump in.

"So there was a giant burn mark on her ankle but she didn't work in anything to do with fire."
"Oh that's simple. Dry ice."
"Dry ice?" Morgan asked
"Yes Morgan, dry ice. Dry ice is made up from carbon dioxide gas, with the carbon dioxide gas being pressurised and cooled to form the liquid CO2. Which then in turn gets injected into either a block press or pelletizer. Dry ice sublimates at 194.65 K which is about -109.3 °F at earths atmospheric pressure. That extreme cold makes the solid dangerous to handle without protection due to it causing frostbite or burns."
"She sounds a lot like Spencer." J stated making the team agree.
"Why thank you Jj."
"She knows which one of us is which?" Emily asked as she looked at me.
"Spencer has told me a lot about you guys and I have watched the news to know what Jj sounds like Prentiss."

'She is having too much fun with this.'

"So is there anyway she could have burnt her ankle with dry ice because of where she works?" Hotch asked to bring the team back on track.
"I would say it's a chance but highly not likely. Her car was found in a lake or the ocean I presume?"
"That is true." Hotch confirmed.
"Then the dry ice would have melted in the water. A dry ice block can work the exact way a brick would on a petal. Surprise surprise, leaving the burn yet also vanishing without a trace, making it an easy cover up just like that."
"But the victim drowned." Rossi added
"You can create a drowning on land."
"You can?" Morgan asked with a surprise look on his face
"A few chemicals can cause dry drowning along with nearly drowning earlier before that." I explained.
"But if we go by chemicals then you'll want someone who's in the medical profession. Since an overdose of anaesthetic can cause what your looking for."
"I think that's all we need to know for now. Thank you for the help dr."
"No problematic, lovely agents. Good luck with catching the unsub and Spencer."
"Yes dr?"
"I swear to god if you do not return my scarf and book in once piece Imma kick your arse."
"Ok I will, I will."
"Good. Josh I have told you countless times do not play frisbee with the dictionaries or I will kick you so far in the arse you'll be able to taste it. I love you, bye."
"Love you two. I'll see you when I get back and please stay out of trouble."
"Make no promises. Josh I'm getting the broom!"

She hung up the phone and I put it back in my pocket trying to ignore the faces everyone was giving me.
"So you two are dating." Morgan stated.
"Let's just continue with the case." I told hoping that would distract him long enough.
We were told what to do and I was stuck with Morgan as we head to one of the vics houses when he spoke.
"So you have her scarf?"
"I accidentally took it not knowing."
"It seems stressful at her work place."
"She would say it's more fun then anything."
"Why would she say that?"
"Because she loves all her regulars and there are many interesting ones that she says she hates but it's her way of saying she loves them as well."
"Does this Josh dude often throw the dictionaries around?"
"It is one of the regular occurrences. Her shop is somewhat lenient when it comes to stuff like that. It helps when she will hit them with the broom she has so people know once she threatens it she will use it." I told thinking about all the times I've heard or seen her threaten using the broom.
"So how long have you two been together for?"
"Awhile."
"And we still haven't met her?!"
"Every time we think about doing it something comes up."
"Don't think or plan Spencer. Just wake up one day and go you know what we are going to introduce you to my team."
"You just really want to meet her."
"I really do!" He exclaimed making me smile.
My phone vibrated and I pulled it out to see it was a text from River.
"That your girl?"
"Dr says, go to someone who tests drugs since they use dry ice and have access to antibiotics."
"She is smart. Also she just randomly knows that?"
"She knows a lot of things that will make you wonder where she learnt that. It's great." I told smiling.
'I wish she came. I miss her a lot. Hopefully we will be back in time.'
