When I woke up to the sound of an Alarm I noticed I was still in Spencer's arms just in his bed.
'Ah. My tight grip is one to not be messed with.'
The alarm was turned off and I could tell Spencer was not wanting to wake up.
"Morning Dr.Reid. I see you used me as a teddy bear." I told as I moved to my other side so I can look up at him.
"And you questioned why I said you would be the Teddy bear bee." He told as he chuckled.
"I was drunk and went this bish calling me fat! But it's fine I mean you were obviously making sure I wasn't going to just be disappeared when you woke up after what's happened recently."
"Please don't go into work today. I don't like the feeling or thought of you being in danger when I can't protect you."
"You sound like a boyfriend now Reid." I told giving him a kind smile.
"I have work." He told getting up to get ready.
"Well I will be asleep. If your friends come back warn me so I can stay hidden." I told before rolling so I wasn't facing his side.
'It wouldn't be too bad if Reid was to be my boyfriend. But he wouldn't go for a girl like me since I'm not his type and I'm fine with that. He avoided saying anything that would relate to him sounding like a boyfriend.'(Spencer p.o.v)
After I was done I went back to the room to see River was fast asleep again. A smile grew on my face and I closed the door before making my out. I opened my front door to see Morgan was about to knock.
"Hey pretty boy."
"Are you picking me up again?"
"Yep. Dropping you and Garcia off to the book store since we have a suspicion that the unsub walked past the shop and we may be able to get something to help us identify them."
"Then let's head there right away." I told knowing she wasn't going to be there.
I sat in the back and texted River without showing panic."River SOS! SOS! You need to head to your book store and grab your gun. I repeat SOS!"
"Dude what's with the freak out?"
"Me and Garcia are heading back to your shop to look at the cameras."
"Oh."
"You only say oh? River they could see the amount of times I come in."
"Spencer chill for starters. The shop was closed that whole day. It's fine. Besides I'm on the way there now."'Ok she shouldn't take that long.'
We shortly arrived at the shop and I remembered how scared River was last night.
"We can wait till she comes to open the shop." Morgan told.
"Isn't there a chance that it wasn't seen if the shutters are closed during the night." I told hoping they would just leave it.
"We can find out, a car just pulled in behind us." Garcia told.
Morgan looked behind me and a smile grew on his face.
"She is very gorgeous."
I followed his eye sight and saw what River was wearing. She was in some leggings and a tank top before grabbing a sweater I knew she stole from me.
'Oh she is cheeky. Just act like you two don't know one another. Even not pay any attention to her if that works.'
I followed her with my eyes as she made her way into the store. I could tell she wasn't comfortable walking back in there after last night and all I wanted to was run to comfort her but I knew I couldn't while Garcia and Morgan were with me.
"Oooo looks like our little boy genius has a thing for the book lady." Garcia told
"I do not. She just seems off."
"Besides I want him to get with the Dr. I might just have to go in there to make sure he doesn't try anything." Morgan told which just made me leave the car and head towards the shop.
'He isn't even her type. If only he knew that they were the same people he wouldn't be doing what he was doing.'
Garcia rushed after me and I knocked on the door once she was by my side. I looked up to see River peek around from the back and had a smile grow on her face. She rushed over and was about to unlock the front before remembering about the window.
"Hello again. Sorry but we are closed for the time being since there seems to be a large air flow recently that was not apart of the building already." She told as I tried not to smile.
"Oh I'm not here to buy books. We work with the agents that came by yesterday."
"Oh they were the ones who were really confused on why I remembered everything when I was pretty drunk."
"Yeah everyone else was confused as well." Garcia told as I just continued to avoid eye contact.
"Oh I just have a natural gift of remembering things. So what are you guys doing here if it's not to do with books?"
"We want to know if we can look over the cameras for that day and night."
"Of course just come through." She told before getting off the window seats.
'I do not think we cleaned them.'
"Is she going to unlock the door?" Garcia asked which I only replied with a shrug.
River popped her head out of the broken window and gave a confused look.
"Well what are you waiting for?"
"The door is still locked."
"Oh just climb through the window. More fun this way." She told before quickly pulling her hand up as she hissed in pain.
"You ok?" I asked as it being the first thing said between us.
"Oh I should be fine. Here I'll help you through new regular with no name first." She told as she offered her other hand to help Garcia through the window. Once Garcia was through she offered her hand to me but I decided to reject it and just climbed in.
"So follow me into the back and I'll show you how to work the system."
"So River. What made you decide you wanted to own a book store?" Garcia asked.
"Well I love reading books and secretly before I sell any of the books here I read them as quick as possible. And using the gift of profiling my father taught to me when I was young I am able to match people with books they will enjoy." She told before handing me a book I knew she was holding for me.
"You were profiling him?" Garcia asked as she was shocked from what happened.
"Oh yeah. He was quite so I decided to work out what he would look. Since his whole look is book nerd." She told knowing I had to hold back my tongue.
I began to profile her as pay back, and not even 2 minutes into it she stood up straight before turning around to slap me.
"OMG Spencer! Are you ok?"
"I don't like it when people profile me."
"It's fine I deserved it."
"Look I'm sorry for slapping you but I don't like when people profile me especially since I have a prick of an ex who stalked me for a month and a half before I put a restraining order on him." She told before looking down at the floor and bit her bottom lip. "I shouldn't have said that my bad."
'Oh we are definitely talking about this as soon as we are back at mine.'
We followed her the rest of the way to her secretary room and River showed Garcia how her things work and made it so she only saw the front of the store from the other night after closing and the morning of the brick incident.
"Would you like a coffee?" She asked Garcia.
"No I'm all good but I'm sure you and Spencer can talk since he loves coffee and I like to work with no one next to me." She told as she began to push us out of the room and I knew what she was doing. "Also my name is Garcia." She told before shutting the door on us.
"She seems nice." River told before heading to the back as I followed.
She put the kettle on and began to dance like she usually does when she is working and I couldn't help but tap my fingers against the counter.
"Look I'm sorry for slapping you but you know I don't like being profiled." She told as she finished making our coffees.
"Its not that."
"Look now is not the time to be upset with me."
"Not the time? River you didn't tell me he was stalking you for nearly two months." I whispered yelled to her.
"I didn't tell you cause you would flip like this."
"Because I care for you."
"And I care for you it's not like I'm...." she pulled her hand towards her before quickly hiding her hand behind her back. "Did you know that there are two different red blood cells. Some people in the world have blood called Spherocytes. Basically instead of the red blood being a bi-concave shape it's instead a sphere-shaped."
I quickly made my way to her and she stopped rambling. I grabbed her wrist and pulled it up to see it was bleeding somewhat bad.
"Now the side effects of having Spherocytes is..."
"River. Where is your first aid kit?"
"Where you put it last time." She deadpanned.
I let go of her wrist and tapped the counter for her to jump up so I could tend her hand. I began to go through the process of cleaning and fixing her hand up.
"You need to be more careful."
"Careful isn't fun Spencer."
"You can have a lot of fun by being careful. For starters we could have gone through the door." I told making her smile.
"But Garcia loved it."
"Believe she thinks your odd."
"Works for me. Ow that sting dude."
"Well if you hold still I can get the glass out of your palm."
"Maybe if you were good at this you could be a dr."she told making me chuckle from remembering the first time I had to do this.
"I am a doctor."
"Oh you are are you. And I just thought you were a book nerd with legs for days."
I was able to pull the glass out of her palm before I continued to patch her up.
"Your a bigger book nerd for owning a book store."
"Feel free to buy a book then." She told making me smile more.
"And done. Your hand is fixed River."
"Turns out you might be a good Doctor after all." She told and I dropped some of the bandages.
"Might?" I questioned as I watched where it landed.
"Did I stutter Doctor?"
I quickly went to pick it up when I noticed that there was blood on her left leg, making me follow it to see the glass that was just under where the knee bends.
"Jesus River your leg." I told making her look.
"Oh wow. That doesn't look good." She stated as I began to clean that up as well.
'How did she not even notice it?'
I quickly cleaned and removed all the glass that was there. I made sure there was no more before standing back up properly and gave her a small smile.
"Now you are free of glass." I told.
"Why thank you doctor who's not a medical doctor." She told before hopping off the counter.
"Yeah just try not getting hurt more."
"I make no promises." She told before we made our way back to Garcia.
We opened the door to see her printing out stills of a lonely figure walking past my store.
"Is this who the unsub is?" I asked before drinking more of the coffee. "This is good."
"Why thank you. It's not every day you find someone who enjoys the equivalent to 15 sugar packets in their coffee." She told before following in drinking more coffee to hide our smiles.
"Ask her out." Garcia whispered in my ear.
"Not doing that." I whispered back.
"If you two are going to stop acting like school girls I have some news for you. That unsub is not a male but a female and that she was covered in blood." River told making us shocked.
'How did she leave the bar covered in blood without being stopped?'
