A/N- So in case you were wondering.. yes this story is gonna have more POV's than just Lexi's. Most times it will be hers because she is the main character but I plan on introducing new characters and also having a 'Noah's POV' every so often. Anyways, enjoy the chapter!

(Lexi's POV)

(Present time)

It's been a few days of Noah and I running around mindlessly. We honestly didn't know where we were at this point, and our constant fear was aiding our lack of focus a little too much.

Noah and I run down a road we, again, don't recognize. We run until we enter what looks to be a small town. There is no sign to indicate where we were or what this town was called though. Noah pants as he is out of breath and I decide that we have ran enough.

"Lexi... what the fuck are we going to do?" Noah stammers.

I take a look around at the different buildings. This town is much smaller than where we used to live. Noah has finally caught his breath. I spot a pharmacy just across the street we were standing on.

"Noah look!" I said a bit too loudly, causing Noah to jump. "Be more quiet." He said in a whisper. He was right though. This is a town after all, which means people or.. infected people could be here.

"Right, sorry." I point to the pharmacy and start to walk. After a few steps though, I notice that Noah isn't following me. "Noah?" I say. "C'mon, the pharmacy will have all sorts of stuff that can help us."

His feet stay planted and he just holds himself.

"W-what if... there are those things in there?" He states shakily. I just stand there and think. Yes, that is a possibility. Those so called people move pretty slow though, and we will stick together.

"It is possible. We don't know how far that infection has spread. All we can do is hope for the best. You're the safety geek, don't you think it's smart to take this chance?" I say in my casual big sis tone.

He still looks scared but is more considerate now. "Yeah.. b-but only if you make sure to stay by me!"

I give him a simple nod and we both start towards the pharmacy.

As we walk, I take in my surroundings. I see all different types of stores. I take note of a sporting goods store. We'll come back to that one, it has to have some weapons in the hunting gear section.

We reach the doors of the pharmacy. The automatic doors wouldn't open due to the loss of electricity. "Noah. Grab that side of the door and pull. I'll grab this side and do the same."

We pull hard enough for just a bit of the door to open, it's small but we can still squeeze through it.

Noah let me go in first, of course. When we both get inside of this small store I notice how the only lighting is towards the front of the store due to the windows giving a light.

"If we want to look towards the back of the store, we will need flashlights. I'm sure that they would sell them here." I say.

I look towards the ceiling to see if there are any signs.

"Let's see.. birthday cards, women's products, ah- there." I point to two different signs. "Medical supplies and Outdoor gear." I think aloud.

I glance over to Noah. He's better with medical supplies because he's the cautious one. I remember when we were younger, whenever I got hurt he would know exactly what to do and how to deal with the wound. I think he is a pretty big Grey's Anatomy fan. It would be easier for us to split up. And he won't even have to go in the dark part of the store because the 'medical supplies' section is near the front where it's lit.

Noah seems to notice me looking at him while in my thoughts. "H-hey. You better not be thinking what I think you're thinking." He says nervously.

"Listen. If we split up-" "No! No way!" He cuts me off. "We saw a kid get devoured on that bus! Do you want that to happen to one of us?!" He says.

"Of course not. But it'll go faster that way, and then we can leave and find a place to stay for the night. We can't stay here for too long because it'll be dark soon. I promise we will both be fine. No one is here." I say reassuringly.

Noah stands there in thought. He gives me a scared look on his face before hesitantly saying "O-ok.. fine. But please be careful and be back quick." He says while nodding his head.

I giggle. "You sound like mom right now. I'll be fast, don't worry. The medical supplies are just around that corner. You be fast too."

We both separate to look for our needed supplies.
