Jasper and I make conversation while our car follows a row of motorcycles down a road.
Time skip~
We drive down an empty highway until all the vehicles start to slow down. The row of vehicles stops in front of a small square shaped building. No way this is where we are all staying. Everyone parks their vehicles.
Before we get out, Lexi grabs Cooper's shoulder. "I-I know my mom can be a pain in the ass but please try to cooperate. She already doesn't like you two, so just try and do what she says."
We make our way over to the building, where my mom then unlocks the metal door. I was confused until I glanced inside the building. A metal hatch sits there. My mother crouches down and opens it.
"Noah. Lexi. Don't be shy." She waves us over. I look to Jasper and Cooper before making my way over to my mom. I looked down the open latch to see a metal ladder that seemed to go down pretty far. I could see light from the bottom so I wasn't too scared to go down.
"Be careful and don't let go of the ladder, it's a long drop." One of the bikers tease. My mom smacks him on the arm for saying that but I don't really care at this point.
I carefully step down the ladder, keeping a steady pace. More and more people start to follow. After about five minutes of climbing, I reached the bottom where a large metal door was.
"Go ahead and open that door Noah!" I hear my mom shout. I grab the handle and push the heavy door open. I stare in awe at what I'm seeing.
The following is the layout of the bunker~
I walk ahead as people trot in behind me. A woman in a white coat with short blonde hair walks up to us. "Welcome back. I see we have a few new faces, Denise." She says in a monotone voice.
My mother nods. "Yes. These are my children Lexi and Noah. And they brought along their... friends... as well. Jasper and Cooper was it?"
"Very well then. I'll be happy to give them the tour, although we must be wary of the disturbance of the scientists in the disease control lab, I think they are trying out a new antidote."
Antidote? So there are scientists here that can end this whole thing for good?
"I'm Leslie by the way, lovely to meet the four of you." She smiles. She begins to walk and waves at us to follow.

"First we'll go to the Library. There may still be a story time reading happening for the little children, but I'm sure we won't be too much of a bother."
We walk into a room with a giant tree that is coated with sunlight from a skylight. There is a large curved shelf filled with books to last a lifetime. And as Leslie said, there is a story time reading happening.
