(Jasper's POV)

I lead Noah to a nearby hallway that was empty of any people. He leans against a wall with his arms crossed while I pace back and fourth.

"Okay... what's the problem?" I run a hand through my hair. He shakes his head. "I already said that it's nothing."

"Bullshit it's nothing! Is it about me telling you what to do? We don't have to go to the training room if you don't want to! It was just a suggestion, that's all. And if you're still mad at me about the Ryder incident then that's a bit odd because you already forgave me and-"

"Jasper, I'm not mad at you." He interrupts. I stop pacing and look at him, confused. "Then what's going on? You can't say 'nothing'."

He slumps a bit with a sad expression. "It is...nothing."

I sigh, calming myself down. "C'mon Noah, you know you can tell me if something's bothering you." He nods and rolls his eyes a bit, even though I can tell that he's not annoyed.

"It's just... I thought that I would be a bit more lax about this Lexi situation. I'm... not. I know I just heard about the infection but even before that... I didn't sleep at night after Lexi got hurt..." He sniffles.

My eyes widen a bit. "What?" He nods. "I don't know... I just can't sleep knowing that she's in pain. And now that I know that she could turn... I'm terrified. That's silly I know-"

"No. No it isn't silly. It's understandable." I interrupt. He looks up from his feet with teary eyes and I step closer to him. "Lexi's your sister. If Cooper had this happen to him then I would be a bit crazy like that too. And even now.. I sorta think of her as an older sister, so it hurts me too."

Noah nods and runs a hand through his chestnut hair. "Do you think... she won't have enough time before they make the cure?" He mumbles. I give a sympathetic look. "C'mon Noah, don't think like that. Your sister is strong, okay? She's probably more worried than the both of us combined.. so let's try and keep a positive mind for her sake."

"Jasper." He says plainly. I raise an eyebrow. "Yeah?"

"I told Lexi... about how we snuck into the lab.."

I stand there in awe. "Are you mad at me?" He mumbles. I blink out of my daze. "What? Of course not. Did she take it okay?"

Noah nods. "Yeah. I could tell she was disappointed but she was mostly glad we didn't get ourselves killed... and that I was honest with her."

I nod. "We'll start following your ideas more often then, huh? It was right to tell her. I shouldn't of made you feel like you shouldn't. I'm sorry."

Noah hugs me around my torso. "It's okay. And thank you."

He pulls away, wipes his eyes, and crosses his arms tightly. "Have you really not slept in that long?" I ask and slump against the wall next to him. He nods hesitantly.

"Why don't you take a nap before dinner then? No wonder you're in a bad mood, you haven't slept in days!"

He nods and yawns. "Yeah... that does sound nice. It's a long way back to the pod though."

I take a look around. One of the many lounges just happened to be near by. "Well there's your solution! You can just rest in the lounge until I come back and wake you up." I exclaim while leading him inside.

I notice a couch at the back of the room and lead him to it, sitting him down. "Oh uh thank you... you'll be back before dinner then?" He asks while I nod instantly. "Of course."

"Alright well thanks, Jasp. And I'm sorry again for being rude to you..." He trails off. I sigh and shake my head. "No that's okay, just try and get some rest." He nods and lays down. "I'll try."

I lean down and kiss him shortly before leaving him to some shut eye.

(Lexi's POV)

Cooper and I walk to the training room after lunch. I think it's a good idea considering we haven't trained since we lived by the quarry.

"I had no idea that this place had one of these." I say as we arrive. He shrugs and opens the doors. "Yeah well it's a good thing, we haven't trained in a while." I nod at that and head to the women's changing room as Cooper heads to the men's.

Short time skip~

I walk out of the changing room in a simple training outfit. Gray tank top, gray leggings, gray shoes. Cooper wears almost the exact same thing, only his leggings are mesh gray shorts.

We both step on the red mat below us. "Don't go easy on me because I just recovered." I say smugly. A/N- I have nooo idea how long it takes for stitches to heal but we are gonna call that good.

He scoffs. "I didn't plan on it."

A/N- I'm very bad at writing fight scenes so I apologize in advance :')

Cooper suddenly lunges at me.

I dodge him, spinning to the side.

"Dodging isn't going to help you win this." He says in a cocky tone.

I roll my eyes and lunge at him and he does the same.

He tackles me to the ground and our momentum rolls us a bit.

He tries to pin me in order to win but I kick his stomach before he can do so, flipping him forward and onto is back.

"Damnit Lexi." He growls as he hops back up. He charges at me with much more force than before.

We tumble to the ground once again. Cooper grabs one of my arms and I decide to play a card I didn't think I would.

"O-Ow my back!" I yelp. His eyes widen and he releases me.

Worry fills his face. "Lexi? Are you-"

I cut him off by flipping him over and pinning him with my foot.

Winning.

"Pinned ya." I say and start to laugh uncontrollably. His eyes widen for a few seconds. I release my foot and stand up. He does as well. "Cheater."

I nudge his side. "Whatever, you're just a sore loser." He smiles a little and looks at the clock that's in between the two changing rooms.

"We've still got a lot more time before dinner... want to train some more." I put on my game face and nod. "Let's do this." I say while ruffling his dark hair.

A/N- I hope whoever read this enjoyed it. I know there hasn't been much drama or anything but trust me, it's coming. And to you romance lovers, I plan on really sweet stuff happening. Stay posted!
