Little Cabin In The Woods

(Jasper's POV) A/N- I know I keep doing his POV lol <3

"Wake up Mom.." Noah says while shaking Ms. Ashwell a bit. "Wha-" "We made it to a good place... hopefully... but we need to inspect it first." He finishes.

Ms. Ashwell steps out of the car and takes a good look at the cabin being illuminated by the car's headlights. I walk over to the other side of the car and open Lexi's door.

"C'mon Lex-" Woah. I knew Lexi's diagnosis was getting worse but I didn't know she was feeling all that bad in the car. Lexi has beads of sweat all over her face and her eyes keep fluttering open and shut. Her skin is as white as snow.

"Is she coming?" Noah says from the other side of the vehicle. I look back and forth at the two. Noah's gonna worry. "She's actually out cold. I think it's better that we let her sleep. And if she wakes up then Cooper is right beside her."

Noah quirks up an eyebrow but nods anyway. I nod my head to the trunk and the two follow me. I quickly open it and grab a few things from the bags. Three flashlights, two machetes for Noah and his mom, and my pocket knife.

"I'm gonna see if I left anything in the back seat." Ms. Ashwell smiles.

She trots away for a moment and Noah's eyes shoot to my neck and the bruises. His face is worried as ever.

I smile and pull him into a kiss which catches him off guard. I pull away. "Stop being so worried. We can talk later."

He nods and his mother walks up a second later. "We're good to go."

She trots a bit ahead while Noah and I stay back slightly. "Did she... see that?" Noah mumbles. Right, Ms. Ashwell doesn't know about us.

"I doubt it. Stay behind me, okay?" Noah instantly nods while Ms. Ashwell looks at me like I can't protect anyone because I'm just a 'kid'. Oh well, I'll just have to prove it to her sometime.

We slowly approach the cabin, flashlights shining. I take a step onto the porch. The only sounds heard were the squeaking of the steps. The cabin is actually a good size. Good enough for five people at least.

We reach the door and look at each other intensely. "We need to be extra careful so keep your guards up." I warn.

I grab the door handle and jiggle it. Unlocked. That's convenient. I countdown with my fingers. 3...2...1...

I open the door slowly, a loud creaking sound coming from its hinges. It was quite hard to see inside, even with the flashlights on. Shining it around, I could make out the general appearance of the inside.
