Plan Of Action

(Cooper's POV)

Lexi, Noah, Jasper and I all rush around the pod, grabbing anything important to us. "Did we have to do this so unexpectedly?" Lexi groans.

It was currently 11:47 p.m.

"Yes. The faster we get the antidote, the faster we save you, and the faster we get the hell out of here." I state sharply while shoving some extra clothes into a large bag.

Noah scratches the back of his neck while looking around. "I feel kind of bad about this. Shouldn't we escape with Rae and Ezra too? What if they get into trouble for helping us after we escape?"

"We honestly don't have the room in the car. And I'm sure the scientists won't even know that they helped us." I retort. Noah nods but I can still tell how on edge he is about this.

"Uhm... what are we doing about Mom?" He questions worriedly. I cross my arms. "Let's finish packing and then we'll get to that."

After getting everything packed up we all sit in a circle and discuss the plan.

"Alright.. this is what we're going to do.." I start.

The three perk up, ready to listen.

"Jasper and Noah, you're first. I'm gonna have you guys sneak our things out to the car. After you do so, you guys need to sneak back in the bunker and keep watch on the lab's door while we steal the antidote."

Jasper nods at the challenge confidently while Noah gives an unsure look, nodding regardless.

"That just leaves Lexi and I. We're gonna sneak into the lab while the two of you do all that. The only problem is that we need to make a gap to go get your Mom. I don't know when we would do that considering that we all have a job to do."

Noah raises his hand shakily. "I-I could get my Mom while Jasper brings the stuff to the car. She probably wouldn't listen to anyone else other than Lexi or I, but Lexi will be pretty occupied. So yeah."

I contemplate on that. This would honestly work, as long as Ms. Ashwell was willing to reason with us.

I clasp my hands together firmly. "Okay.. convince the shit out of her." Noah nods progressively.

I stand up and grab a few weapons from my bedside table. A machete for Jasper, he'll be needing it in case he comes across any biters. A pocket knife for Noah, just in case. My hand gun, a crow bar, and another machete for Lexi.

"Okay... we all know what to do?" Everyone nods. "Alright then... let's go."
