(Lexi's POV)

We've been walking for about five minutes now and this road is starting to look... familiar...

Wait...

"Hey Noah, do you recognize where we are at all? I question him while looking over my shoulder. He instantly nods. "Yes, actually. I don't know why but-"

Suddenly, a gasp leaves his mouth as he looks passed me a bit. I turn back around to a small town in the distance and...

"Oh my God! Noah it's-"

"I know! I know!" He jumps up and down happily.

Cooper and Jasper gives us confused looks. "What're we talking about here?" Jasper huffs.

Noah grins at him. "That's where we lived!" He points.

"Wait, actually?" Cooper questions. I nod intensely. "Maybe some people are still there! It is a gated town after all. And there's a chance that biters didn't get to it after everyone evacuated!" I smile.

"Well let's get a move on then. We're basically live bait out here." Jasper runs a hand through his hair.

Time skip~

(Noah's POV)

After about five minutes, we make it to the front gate. It's open from the evacuating, but hopefully there aren't biters present.

"Stay close to each other." Cooper says sternly as we all walk inside.

"We could go to our house? We can all get at least a little bit of rest, and when there's daylight we can try to get one of these vehicles moving." Lexi shrugs while glancing at the many left behind vehicles.

Jasper yawns. "I like that idea."

Lexi and I lead the two others to our small but nice home. It looked the way it was back when we evacuated.

"Seems untouched..." Lexi mumbles as we walk up to the door.

We all trot inside and take a look at the scene. The house was a bit dark but the sun was just barely starting to come up, which made it a gloomy color.

"Noah, you can show Jasper around if you want. And I can show Cooper around too." She smiles at me. I furrow my brows at her but agree anyway. What is she playing at?

"Yeah, I guess I'll show you my room first." I shrug while walking down a small hallway.

I reach for my door handle and open it up to see that my room was just the same as I left it.

"Sorry, it's a bit small in here." We trot in. Jasper shakes his head. "Nah, it's fine. It's kinda nice that you're house hasn't been touched by anything since you left. Maybe you can take a few things when we leave."
