(Lexi's POV)

Where are they?!

Cooper and Jasper seem to be taking extra long and I'm starting to get worried. Noah and I are both sitting on the couch, waiting for them to enter the house at any second.

"Maybe they just couldn't find a pharmacy right away. There's no need to worry Lex." He tries to reassure, even though I can tell that he's nervous too.

"You're probably right. I'm just so jittery... the fact that I may be pregnant is just.. scary." I mumble. Noah nods. "It wouldn't be the end of the world, y'know? We're living in a pretty safe community. People everyday are helping barricade and train others and just straight up keeping this town safe. It wouldn't be the worst place to raise a baby."

I shrug nervously. "I know, I know. It's just so unexpected."

Noah just nods again, in listening. After a few seconds, I decide to chance the subject.

"Do you ever think about how lucky we've gotten?"

Noah glances at me and nods instantly. "Erm- yes. Well... it depends what you mean by that." I giggle a bit. "With our relationships."

"Oh." Noah realizes. "Yeah, absolutely." He says quickly. I know that Noah hates talking about sappy romance shit with me, but it has to happen sometime.

"C'mon Noah, talk to me. I tell you everything about Cooper." I whine. "Yes, I'm aware. Every time we cross paths in this house you end up gushing about him." He rolls his eyes jokingly.

"Yes! And that's how you should talk about Jasper! C'mon! Is there anything you want to talk about?" I inquire. He groans and puts on a thinking face. "There's not much in particular, but is there something you want to ask? You seem like you're really wanting me to bring something up."

"Okay okay, I guess I do have a few questions." I mumble. "Shoot." He says.

"L word?" I smile widely. Noah blinks a few times and gives me an uncomfortable expression before nodding with a slight smile.

"Who said it first?" I ask, giddy. My annoyed brother runs a hand through his chestnut hair. "Jasper. He actually didn't even realize it when he said it."

"Really? How?"

"We were stuck in that storm in the greenhouse and he was worried about me being cold. I guess he just got so caught up that he didn't even realize what he said. But he still meant it; he made that very clear."

"Yeesh." I cringe and Noah rolls his eyes. "Not like that. Shut up."

"Awe this is so cute. I remember my first love. His name was Sam and he was so sweet. I remember one Valentine's Day he—"

"Brought you that giant teddy bear and flowers? Lexi, are you forgetting that we lived together? And that I'm your brother? I already know all about him." He laughs.

"Okay, okay, sorry." I smile. "But you guys really are cute. I had a feeling this relationship would happen ever since we first met them. Not Cooper and I'd relationship, but you two for sure."

"Really? I didn't really think about him in that way until we were living in the trees by that quarry." He shrugs.

"I can't wait until you guys get married and have kids and—" I ramble.

"Lexi. Just let things happen on their own. I'm happy with how we are now." He groans.

Before I can make anymore conversation, the front door opens and closes.

Noah and I glance over at the entry way to see Jasper and Cooper taking off their boots and coats. "You're back!" I say, running up to Cooper and giving him a tight hug.

"Yeah. You feeling okay? Any better?" Cooper grins a tad bit. "A little. This is all so weird."

Jasper then grabs into his jacket and pulls out six different pregnancy tests. "Now's your chance to find out... y'know.." He plops them into my hands.

I glance at the sticks nervously before nodding. "I guess I'll go to the bathroom." Goosebumps seem to fill up my arms as I trot down the hall.

Short time skip~

Sitting in the bathroom and staring at a bunch of pregnancy tests is one of the scariest things that's happened to me in this apocalypse.

"You doing okay, Lexi?" I hear Cooper's voice say. Before I can answer, I see a few of the sticks start to form a shape on the part that tells you whether you're pregnant or not.

I stand up from the toilet and open the door, pulling him in. "Wha-" "I need you to look for me. I'm too nervous." I mumble.

Cooper glances down towards the sticks and nods. I take a seat on the closed toilet and look at Cooper nervously. He isn't making any expressions in his face. Is he happy or sad?! Negative or Positive?! I need to know!

"Cooper... what do they say?" Before he can say anything, a grin fills his face. So... negative? But wait.. it could be positive and he's happy about it. I DON'T EVEN KNOW ANYMORE!!

He squats down beside me and hands me the tests one after another. My eyes widen a bit at each one.

(+, Positive, +, +, +, Positive)

"I don't think that many false positives are possible." He shrugs. "How... how do you feel about it?" I mumble nervously.

Cooper doesn't even say anything. He just stands up and jogs out of the bathroom energetically.

"Coop-"

"I'M GONNA BE A DAD!! HAHA, YESSSSS!" He yells. My eyes widen at his reaction. He's... happy? I mean I'm glad he is, I just wasn't expecting it.

I stand up from the bathroom and walk out. Jasper, Cooper, and Noah were all smiling widely. "I can't believe how happy you guys are about this." I say with surprise.

They just jump around a bit like little kids on Christmas. "Of course we're excited. It's a baby." Noah says like it's obvious.

I decide to let them be happy and smile along with the trio. "Is it a boy or a girl?" Jasper asks excitedly. I laugh at his question but then realize he's serious.

"A pregnancy test doesn't tell you the sex, dumbass." Cooper states. Jasper rolls his eyes. "I-I know... I was kidding."

"Actually, we probably won't know the sex until they're born. Unless the nurses here are able to tell me somehow." I shrug. They all nod.

"Let's see.. nine months from now.. Carlos' calendar says that it's October now... so they would be born in... July." Cooper calculates. A summer baby! Aww.

After a bit more talking, we all retreat back to our shared rooms. "You happy?" Cooper asks me plainly. I nod instantly. "Of course." I smile.
