Time Skip: Two Years Later~

(I'm bolding POV changes because there will be a lot of them this chapter.)

(Lexi's POV)

Everything is finally... normal. Well... as normal as an apocalypse gets anyway.

The military men were telling the truth about us merging with the other base.

The community is huge. It almost feels like there isn't an apocalypse at all.

The four of us were all able to move into our own house about a year ago, after everyone sort of got used to the environment. In fact, almost everyone has gotten a house of their own.

In addition our quadruple, a little toddler is on board.

"Lexi! Carmen is uh... well she smells." I hear Jasper groan while sitting with her and Noah on the couch. They've been playing with her while I cook.

I glance over my shoulder. "I think you're capable of changing a diaper." I laugh to the both of them.

Carmen giggles a bit at the two boys annoyance. "Carmen, honey, just pick whichever guy you want to change you." I smile.

She looks between the two boys before pointing at Noah.

"Oh c'mon..." He groans. "I think you should start potty training."

"Just go to the bathroom to fix her up." I mumble while chopping vegetables. Noah groans and stands up, carrying Carmen. Jasper decides to go with as well.

(Noah's POV)

After changing Carmen and putting her into some footy pajamas, Jasper and I just talk for awhile while playing with her in Jasper's room.

"Next time, you're doing it. No exceptions." I huff. Jasper laughs. "She just likes you better."

I look at him in shock. He can't be serious. At this moment, Carmen was drawing a picture of Jasper and her as prince and princess. I gesture towards the artwork.

"Huh... maybe she just likes your misfortune." A cackle escapes his mouth. I roll my eyes and scoff. Carmen looks up at me... sadly?

"No-uh I wuv you the mostest." She mumbles and her lip starts to quiver. She begins to wail and runs up to me, hugging me tightly.

"Jesus. She's over dramatic." Jasper widens his eyes. I nod. "She definitely got it from Lexi."

I pull Carmen away from me and smile. "Carmen, I'm not actually sad you know. I was only joking."

She wipes her eyes with a balled up fist. "Oh..."

Jasper laughs a bit at her. "Carmen what's with the hissy fit?"

She furrows her brows at him. "Shuddup."

"That's not a nice thing to say."

"You was being mean to Noah." She huffs and goes back to her drawing.

"I was joking, Car-mean."

"Don't call me dat! You wasn't joking!"

"I bet you don't love Noah the mostest." He grins, jokingly.

I roll my eyes. Only Jasper would start a fight with a two year old.

"Yes I do! Meanie!"

"Nah, I'm pretty sure I love him more. Just sayin." He shrugs.

Carmen's lip quivers again and I pinch the bridge of my nose tightly. "Seriously Jasper?"

She cries again and Jasper pulls her into a hug. "Oh c'mon. I was just playing around."
