(Cooper's POV)
The birds chirp outside and I can hear children playing distantly outside of our house. I yawn and try to sit up but something weighs me down.
oh... right.
Lexi shifts in her sleeps and nuzzles her head into the crook of my neck. How do I get out of this? I chuckle quietly and try to shift but it's no use.
Footsteps approach the living room and I suddenly become more embarrassed than I already was. "Hey Cooper, where's Lexi? I was going to ask-"
Noah.
"Oh... hey" I quickly say. "I tried to wake her but... well..." Noah rolls his eyes a bit. "Lexi get up! Stop crushing Cooper and make us breakfast!"
Lexi jolts awake, unfortunately, and glances at me. She attempts to climb off of me but ends up face first on the rug covered floor. She immediately gets up with an embarrassed look on her face and rushes to the kitchen while huffing out a sorry.
I chuckle a bit and head towards my room to get changed.
(Noah's POV)
"Y'know Noah, there's no making breakfast anymore. Eat a granola bar and you'll be fine." Lexi giggles.
She ruffles my bed head and hands me a breakfast bar.
"Lexi I... I need to talk to you." I mumble while munching on my breakfast. My sister raises a brow. "Oh? Do tell." She grins.
I roll my eyes and my face begins to redden. "Well... last night Jasper and I were talking..."
She instantly perks up. "Relationship talk!" Lexi whisper shouts with excitement. I roll my eyes but continue.
"I was trying to comfort him after all that happened yesterday and he said something that sounded really... different."
"Good different or bad different?"
"I think good." I play with my hands. Lexi grins widely. "What did he say?"
I glance around the kitchen and lower my voice to a whisper. "'The one good thing to come out of this apocalypse was you.'" I quote.
Lexi jumps up and down in excitement. "YES!" She screams. I give her a stern look. "Be quiet, you might wake him up."
Lexi just nods a grins smugly. "So... how does this make you feel?"
I roll my eyes at her enthusiasm. "Pretty... really... very good." I conclude. "Great." A smile creeps onto my face and I attempt to smudge it away.
My excited sister somehow manages to smile greater than before. "Noah I've never been this happy for you. I'm like ninety nine percent sure that was not platonic. I would say one hundred percent but knowing our luck I feel like there's always that one odd."
I shrug. "Lexi, I think there's a good chance he didn't mean anything by it. He's Jasper. He's always cared about me this way. It doesn't feel all that different than before."
My sister rolls her eyes. "Funny. Nope I'm absolutely right and I'm not letting you ruin this chance you have. It's too perfect and too cute. I'm gonna make this happen. I don't care how long it takes."
I blink in shock. "Lexi! You can't force things to happen like that. You have to just let him say it himself. If there is anything to say in the first place."
"Let who say what?" A voice behind me causes me to jump. Jasper.
"Haha! Nothing. It's just from a movie. Old movie. You wouldn't know it." I begin to stammer.
