Her Eyes || Draco Malfoy

"Right you lot, less chattering form a group over there" Hagrid orders pointing over to a clearing in the woods "open your books to page 49" he told us and I saw Malfoy look suspiciously at his book as it growled at him.

"Exactly do we do that?" He spat as I stroked the spine of mine calming it so I could open it as Hagrid pointed at me as I gently pushed my glasses up to keep them from falling off my nose "just stroke the spine of course!"

So he did just that stroking the spine of the book before perking both his eyebrows up as it worked making me chuckle and roll my eyes before finding my way back to the group and ignoring Draco yelling Neville to quote on quote "stop being a wimp" because his book attacked him.

Of course out of habit I placed myself next to Pansy which meant now I stood between her and Draco as he complained about how stupid this class would be because Hagrid was teaching it but before I could scold him someone spoke up catching my attention.

"I think they're funny" Hermonie mocked from across the way which obviously was heard by the blonde next to me as he let out a dry laugh "oh yeah terribly fuunny, really witty actually" he mocked making me roll my eyes and groaning in annoyance.

"God this place has gone to the dogs— just yoh wait till my father hears that Dumbledore's got this oath teaching classes" he shot making me chuckle at his failed attempt to seem intimidating.

This earned me a playful smack in the back of the head by the blonde which I completely deserved as it made him laugh and me shooting glares at him.

"Shut up Malfoy!" ordered Harry who was strutting towards us, Draco looked around at us with a confident smirk on his face before we all started oooh-ing at the brunette before Draco dropped his bag with Crabbe and walking forward.

Keeping that confident smirk on his face like it was a tattoo as looked the boy up and down before stopping directly infront Harry and looking up and as if he had seen something he started to freak out.

He pointed up before raising his voice "dementor! dementor!" He exclaimed and when everyone had turned around to look they all threw up their hoodies, everyone but me who thought this was just cruel.

Pansy then smacked my shoulder making me copy all of them as they lifted their hands acting like ghosts of some sort though I think I did a better job of pretending to be a ghost as I seemed as unamused as Hermonie did.

After a minute Pansy threw her arm around my shoulder as we removed our hoodies and I think Pansy read my mind as I was thinking how what they did wasn't as funny as they thought, though I was lying to myself.

"oh Iris" she sighed loudly as we walked in the direction of where Hagrid stood waiting for us "lighten up a little bit" she told me ruffling my hair which made Draco, Goyle and Ivy laugh as I rolled my eyes.

I was going to respond but I was cut short when my eyes landed on the large bird infront of us, it was beautiful and I couldn't remember the name of the creature but I knew what it was because my aunt works for the ministry.

"Say Hello to buckbeak"

I was mesmerized by it and I think Pansy noticed this when she started to snicker next to me resting her head on my shoulder "woah" I mumbled as my eyes never left the creature.

I couldn't hear much of what was being said by Ron from where I was standing but based off Hagrids response he asked what it was.

"That Ron is a Hippogriff, the first thing you want to know about Hippogriffs is that they're very proud creatures, very easily offended, you do not want to insult the Hippogriff it may just be the last thing you ever do.. now! Who'd like to come and say hello!"

Everyone backed up but me and Harry but because I was in the back this went unnoticed by Hagrid and he pulled Harry up after telling him well done.

I watched carefully as he explained how to approach the Hippogriff listening to every word, taking note of everything he said in my brain as a small smile slowly formed onto my face showing that I infact found a new love for magical creatures.

I was so focused that I didn't even realize I made my way to the front of the class watching as Harry leaned down into a bow to greet the Hippogriff.

I was so focused I didn't even realize that my lips were separated slightly till Buckbeak bowed back and the smile on my face grew a little but and I pressed my lips back together.

As Harry approached it Draco pushed everyone aside standing next to me and taking a bite out of his apple probably to get a front row view if it attacked Harry.

Which almost happened as Harry almost got bit which startled me causing me to flinch and become aware of my actions as I dropped the smile on my face and stepped back slightly smacking the blonde's hand for laughing.

Which earned me a glare as I gave hun a sarcastic smile when I saw Hagrid smack the hypogriffs behind and it ran forward with Harry on its back before flying off leaving me smiling in awe once more.

"You're not going to tell me you find this interesting Iris" blurted Draco who started laughing at the thought of it and I let my face fall as I looked over at him not answering him instead pushing past him calling him an asshole under my breath.

"Don't tell me I'm right Iris" he continued, walking closer to me as I sat down him copying me "stop calling me Iris, Malfoy" I hissed clearly not having it with his sudden attitude towards me and my interests.

"oh come on why not? Thought we were at least trying to be friends?" He scoffed as a fake pout played his lips making me roll my eyes and sigh "be a bit nicer like you were eariler and I'll consider you my friend Malfoy" I hissed making the blonde smirk slightly.

"Fine, I'll be nicer if you be nicer"
