Her Eyes || Draco Malfoy

"You are not making me go in there" Draco complained as I pulled him to Madam Puddifoot's Tea Shop, a popular location amonst couples in hogwarts.

I jumped infront of him huffing "you said I could choose where to go and I choose here" I told him as I furrowed my eyebrows and pouted slightly making him sigh loudly.

"You know what— fine you're lucky you're cute" he kissed my cheek as I jumped up and he walked up to the door opening it for me to enter the shop which I did cheerfully, pulling him behind me.

We sat at a table ordering some drinks when he looked forward at him sighing "I didn't take you for the pink and frilly type of girl" he said as he took a look around the small shop with his nose scrunched up.

"I'm usually not" I shrugged making the blonde smile and shake his head stubly "but I've wanted to come here for a while" I said as I reached out to grab his hand from across the table.

He gave me a playful smile before looking down at the menu in his hand "you really are lucky that I agreed to this— I mean only for you would I be caught in a place like this" said the blonde who tried his best not to let a genuine smile play on his lips.

"I must be special then"

"You are special"

I looked down trying to hide the fact that I couldn't stop smiling which obviously was easier said than done when he snickered squeezed my hand.

I removed my gaze from the table below me to the blonde infront of me, his almost white hair neatly parted and his eyes soft as he looked at me.

His serpent pin sticking out against his well fitted black suit which made me look like I was underdressed as I simply wore the nicest black top that I had and a matching skirt.

He told me, I was beautiful no matter what I wore, subborn I denied his claim.

His eyes, such a beautiful shade of blue, almost silver sometimes almost grey, looked back at me.

I snapped back into reality, "Admiring?" He teased.

"Always"

To me; it was the little moments that mattered the most, I always denied his requests to buy me gifts, like clothes or jewelry.

Till today when we left the tea shop and walked around when something caught my eye causing me to stop and walk into the shop suddenly with Draco running behind me to catch up.

I stopped infront of a wall of stuffed animals and I looked over at the blonde next to me who had an unamused expression on his face making me laugh.

Ferrets.

I reached forward grabbing two of them and handing him one "I'm your ferret" I told him, cringing at my own words as he inspected the lightbrown stuffed animal while I held the white one.

Looking up at me he looked like he was about to argue till his eyes met mine and he stopped shaking his head.

"Please, ferret" I begged as I hugged the ferret stuffed animal closer to me "you always want to buy me something, I'll get you something in return in the future I promise"

He thought for a moment when I popped my bottom lip out and started pouting "pretty please" I continued when he finally gave in and I kissed his cheek and we headed to check out.

When we exited the shop I hugged the ferret tightly making him smile "what're you going to name it" he asked and I stopped standing in place, thinking for a minute before smiling and looking at him.

"Draco and then you can name yours Iris"

"Thats cheesy"

"Its cute and you know it"

He stared at me as I smiled at him like I've never smiled before when he threw his arm around me and kissed my temple "fine, I'll name mine after you" he said as I leaned my head to rest it on his shoulder with a smile as we walked back to the castle.

He wouldn't let go of the fact that the one time, I let him buy me something, it was a ferret stuffed animal.

And with my fingers now interlocked with his, he twirled me as we walked because of my sudden energy boost.

He would glance over at me every once in a while, smiling everytime he did.

Our hands swung inbetween us subconsciously as we talked about whatever came to our mind.

I felt so safe, so happy when I was with him, I felt like a kid again; like everything was okay and no one would ever hurt me.

It was the little things I valued the most, the small gestures and actions like him showing up on new years a year ago just to see me, to be with me.

Or him taking his jacket off and giving it to me, like he just did, after realizing I forgot mine in the dormitories.

He made me forget everything wrong in my life; he made me remember that I was loved even if we never actually said the L word to eachother yet.

It was the way he was with me when no one was around that made me smile uncontrollably, the things he did for me, the things he sacrificed like being late for class because I upset or loosing sleep simply because I couldn't sleep myself.

"We are in this together" is what he told me when I stayed with him after the world cup and its what hes told me everytime I needed to hear it.
