I never realized how beautiful the black lake was till I was sitting at the table infront of the window in the slytherin common room.

I was wrapped in a blanket as I stared out, ignoring Blaise as he attempted to talk to me about how he was needing help preparing for the upcoming potions test.

I propped my head up with my hand as I watched fish swim past the window without a second thought.

"Iris? earth to Iris?"

I was snapped back to reality by Draco who shook my shoulder lightly as I looked back over when he nodded his head towards Blaise who looked plain confused.

I smiled apologetically as I placed my hand down, crossing my arms on the table before muttering a quiet apology and explaining what Polyjuice Potions are useful for.

"What idiot would fall for such a potion" Draco mumbled in response to the explanation, I furrowed my eyebrows before turning to face him.

"Correct me if I'm wrong Draco but didn't you bring Harry and Ron into the common room because you thought they were Crabbe and Goyle in second year?" I said and his face turned red with embarrassment.

"They used polyjuice potion, that makes you that idiot" I continued giving him a teasing smile as he shook his head before giving up fighting back his smile when I turned back to Blaise when I realized that Polyjuice isn't on the test.

"Wait, we don't learn about Polyjuice potions till 6th year, what could you possibly need to know more about the polyjuice potion for?" I asked with amusement as I tapped my book with my fingers.

He scoffed, leaning back in his seat and tilting his chin up slightly "shouldn't I be the one asking you why you know so much about Polyjuice Potions?" he shot back throwing me off guard at his sudden agression.

I glaned at Draco who held his eyes on him as they slowly filled with irritation.

"theres this thing called reading, you should try it next time you need help with preparing for a test" I hissed, scooting my chair over to be closer to Draco as I looked down again at my book.

"you're being so fucking childish Iris" he grumbled as I looked at him from the corner of my eye before holding my middle finger up at him "no wonder Draco likes you so much" he said under his breath and I saw Draco look up irritated.

"Don't fucking talk about Iris like that, Zabini" Draco snapped between his teeth making me look at him properly "especially infront of me"

I didn't even bother to look at Blaise as he and Draco continued arguing further.

Draco continued to curse at the male who sat across from him, which seemed to only piss him off more when Draco raised his voice a little "asshole" he called making me sigh and faceplant into the table.

"Yeah? fuck you too Draco" he suddenly blurted as he got up throwing an eraser at Draco which caused me to quickly grab him and remove his wand from his hands when he pulled it out.

"Please— please refrain from killing eachother" I groaned before giving them both desperate looks as they both ignored me and continued arguing.

I kept my eyes on Draco, his face bright red as he pushed his hair back in frustration when I placed my hand ontop of his, giving him a sad look.

He looked kind of hot though, not going to lie.

I carefully slid my fingers between his and giving his hand a light squeeze and playing with the ring on his finger which I had returned to him over the break.

"Would you two shut the fuck up" I hissed after putting up with their bickering for another 5 minutes, they both shot their eyes at me and I pointed at Blaise "you need to leave and cool down" I ordered before looking at Draco pointing at him.

"and you, I'm your girlfriend not your mother but calm the fuck down" I told him, my voice was a bit calmer than it was when I was talking to Blaise.

He was breathing heavily, his chest moving up and down as he attempted to calm down and his eyes wandered my face carefully before looking back at Blaise "you heard her, leave"

I face palmed at the comment, sighing heavily because I knew that I couldn't stop him from being a jerk to Blaise as he stormed off.

"You can be such a jerk sometimes you know"
