The first task was dragons, definitely not what I expected to be the first task.
Draco was kind of upset with me for rooting for him but he started to get over it when we it was Harry's turn. He just wanted to see the brunette get burnt to a crisp and I could see it in his eyes.
I watched Harry be thrown around and almost burned to death while the blonde next to me cheered on the dragon.
I ended up smacking him in the back of the head making him look at me with a expression of confusion "have some respect Draco" I hissed as the dragon almost caught Harry on fire, startling me and causing me to grab his hand suddenly, locking our fingers together.
The blonde laughed at my reaction squeezing my hand tightly before looking back to watch Harry and the dragon go at it before he hid behind a rock.
I watched in anticipation as he looked around the rock and suddenly jumped onto his broom flying around and I cheered loudly earning a glare from the blonde.
He flew down barely missing both the egg and the dragon's flames causing Draco to groan in disappointment as I looked over glaring at him like he was seconds ago.
A loud snap caused me to look over quickly seeing that the dragon had broke free from the chain holding it down as it flew behind Harry.
"Shit"
I squeezed Draco's hand even tighter as I anxiously watched as the dragon followed Harry out of the arena, its tail hitting the stands where the teachers sat and knocking Snape over.
Then they were gone.
My eyes shot over to the blonde whos eyes were already locked onto me, he had an eyebrow quirked up as his eyes looked me up and down "I would rather you didn't check me out right now" I mumbled as Draco pulled me towards him.
I rubbed the back of his hand with my thumb lightly as I rested my head on his shoulder.
It was now that it just set in of the amount of people surrounding me as I closed my eyes, squeezing Draco's hand again when the crowd roared loudly again and I opened my eyes seeing Harry flying back in with the golden egg in his hands.
I jumped up, cheering loudly feeling Draco's glare on the side of my head but when I looked over at him something changed, his eyes softened and a small smile fell onto his lips.
I was jumping up and down when the blonde removed his hand from mine and placed his hands on my waist getting me to stop jumping.
He rolled his eyes jokingly before nudging me when people started walking, I intertwined our fingers, walking forward and pulling him behind me.
I often thought, why him, why did my heart chose him.
He was the complete opposite of what I saw in a guy, but at the same time exactly what I saw in one.
Draco Malfoy: he was attractive, very attractive especially when he was wearing his black well fitted suit but he most definitely wasn't the affectionate type.
Well not in public at least.
Alone he was like a big teddy bear and I think thats what made me catch feelings for him, I think it was that day at the lake.
I loved the way he would pull me into empty classrooms, corridors or whatever just to kiss me, be clingy with me or whatever it was.
He would engage in pda, that was obvious but it wasn't an uncomfortable amount of pda.
It was him, the missing piece to making me feel like a human again. Thats what Destiny told me and I wished my aunt could see that.
I just didn't know what it was about him that made me feel like this.
What was so special, so different about him that made me love him, that made it hard for me not to smile or laugh around him!
What was it about Draco Malfoy that made me feel loved? I wasn't sure but I knew for a fact, I wouldn't want it any other way.
