Her Eyes || Draco Malfoy

I stood in the isle of the library looking for the book I needed to prepare myself for an upcoming Potions exam.

Running my fingers across the spines of the books I stopped when four familiar voices stopped me in my tracks and I listened in closely.

"I agree with Harry, Cho I think Iris would be a lovely addition— shes a sweet girl" Luna spoke, my heart racing when I heard my name being said.

Luna Lovegood, I didn't interact with her much but when I did it was always a good experience, shes an amazingly smart and sweet Ravenclaw, I adore her.

"Her boyfriend is in the inquisitorial squad and there us no doubt she'll join to! If she agrees to join the DA it'll be to spy on us! She's literally dating Draco Malfoy and she's a slytherin" I rolled my eyes at the sound of Cho Chang comparing me to the blonde, you'd think I would be used to it by now but I'm not and I'll never be used to it.

Unlike Luna, I've never had a good experience with Cho Chang who is also in Ravenclaw, she didn't like me just because of my association with Draco and because I'm a slytherin.

The feeling is mutual.

"Cho you should not judge someone by who their in a relationship with or their house, she's different from him, she hates Umbridge why would she want to join the inquisitorial squad?" This time it was Harry who always defended me, even when I was clearly in the wrong.

"Yeah exactly what Harry said, Iris has always been on our side even if she is dating Malfoy" Ron defended and a light smile fell on my lips as I listened.

"Shes a bright witch— we should trust Harry's judgement he knows her best" Luna said, I peered between two books and saw that Cho's hair was in two braids and she held a irritated look on her face meanwhile Luna looked calm, her expression soft just like her personality and voice.

"It doesn't matter if shes a bright witch she can't be trusted! She'll run off and tell her boyfriend about the DA and we will be caught!"

"Cho! She can be trusted I've known her long enough to know that! She's a sweet girl give her a chance" Harry said and I could see him push back his hair in frustration at the girls opinions.

"Even Hermonie trusts her" Ron chimed in and I widened my eyes at the statement because last I knew she still hated me, we never really were close, we got along but we never really were close.

I watched as Cho glared at the Luna, Harry and Ron. "You don't see the issue, she is dating the enemy!"

"She isn't the enemy Cho, you-know-who is the enemy" I don't know how Luna was always so calm in situations like this but she was and I loved that about her

"She was outside of Umbridges office snogging Malfoy and even let him dock 100 points from Gryffindor! You're going to defend her?! Her boyfriend's father is a death eater and so is hers!"

Thats when I knew I had enough and turned the corner watching Cho's face turn pale as she noticed me.

"For your information Chang, McLaggen had it coming for trying to hex my boyfriend, making a sexual comment towards me and threatening both Draco and I so before you assume that Draco is abusing his prefect powers maybe get your facts checked" I raged as I stepped closer placing my hand onto Luna's shoulder giving her a sweet smile.

"And by the way Cho, just because I'm a slytherin and I'm dating Draco doesn't mean I'm going to join the inquisitorial squad, you and your stupid assumptions and sterotypes that all slytherins are bad just piss me off" she swollowed thickly and breathed in keeping her glare on me.

"Iris—"

"Maybe it isn't worth joining the DA if this is what everyone thinks of me just because of who my boyfriend is and what house I'm in— I'll see you around" upset I gave Harry a sad smile with tears brimming my eyes as I walked away, leaving the library all together.

Cho's words ran through my mind as I walked through the corridors leading down to the dungeons, I didn't stop walking till I was forced to when I walked into someone and looked up meeting a pair of silver blue eyes, I knew then what I would do.

I'd just live up to those sterotypes, I'm a slytherin after all, it's in my nature to be petty.

"Draco, I want to join the inquisitorial squad"
