Her Eyes || Draco Malfoy

With my head hung low I walked into the slytherin common room, hiding my hand and avoiding all questions and Draco.

I couldn't face him, not after what happened today.

His eyes were red and puffy telling me that he had been crying, he looked uninterested in whatever our friends were talking about and kept his eyes on me as I sat down with my head on Ivy's shoulder.

There was clear tension in the room and it was noticed by our friends, Theo especially when he looked over to Draco.

"Mate, whats going on with you you've been sulking around all day" he asked clearly worried but Draco didn't answer, instead broke our eye contact and stood up walking out of the common room making me sigh as everyone looked over at me.

Maybe I should talk to him.

I hesitated before getting off the couch "I'll be right back" I mumbled as I followed him out but realized I lost him the minute I walked out of the common room.

I walked through the corridors, till I reached the astronomy tower cursing to myself as I slowly walked up the steps till I reached the top and instantly saw him standing with his forwarms on the railings.

"Penny for your thoughts?" I called out softly not daring to get any closer incase he wanted me to leave, not like I would anyway, I'm stubborn like that.

He didn't respond or look at me instead kept his eyes forward watching the sunset.

I stepped onto the platform of the astronomy tower and slowly walked towards him placing my hand on his back and placing my cheek on his arm.

He let out a shaky breath as I placed my other hand onto his forgetting about the words that were carved into my hand luckily he didn't see it.

"I love you" I hushed as I moved infront or him so he could look at me and I felt my heart break a little at the sight of tears on his face.

"I'm sorry— I'm sorry Iris" he whispered as I wrapped my arms around his neck and held him as he buried his face into my neck and hugged me back.

He shook slightly and repeated his words over and over into my neck.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry"

I pressed soft kisses on his temple before moving back "Draco look at me" I whispered before taking my hand and placing then on either side of his head so he could keep his eyes on me and me only.

"Draco— I'm sorry that I walked away and that I lashed out on you like that but I'm not mad at you anymore so you're okay—" I wiped his tears aeay and placed a quick kiss onto his lips smiling softly "—You're okay I promise, I love you couples fight all the time it's apart of relationships"

His eyes softened as they wandered my face for any sign of lying, "You had every right to lash out and storm off"

"That doesn't make it right, I should have listened to you instead of storming off— I can't say much about the lashing out because you're the one who lashed out first" I said as I ran my thumb under his eye before jerking it back when it started stinging and hissed.

His eyes fell to my hand as they narrowed and he took my hand into his "what the fuck—" he cursed as he inspected my hand further "—who did this to you? Iris tell me who did this to you"

Without thinking he ran this thumb across the cuts causing me to pull my hand back "it's Umbridge's sick way of punishment" I told him as I held my hand to my chest.

"You can't let her do this to you Iris" he whispered placing his hand on my cheek gently "you can't let her continue to harm you it's not right you don't deserve this" he continued shakily trying not to cry as he did so.

"I can't let her think I'm scared of her like you said I act to much like a gryffindor sometimes but thats not always a bad thing you know— my mother was a Gryffindor— I get it from her"

I gave him a soft smile which he returned as he leaned in placing his hand on my cheek and kissed me softly and full of emotion.

He was sorry for everything he did while we were in 1st and 2nd year, how much he hurt me with his words.

He pulled away and looked down at me with something close to a proud look in his eyes "you're definitely brave like one my love now let me tell you something" he said as he pulled me away for the ledge and sat down against one of the walls while I sat between his legs.

"I say this with love, I never understood why you were placed in slytherin— you've got courage and determination those were the two things I noticed first about you when we were like 10 I was sure you'd be placed in gryffindor or maybe even Ravenclaw with how damn smart you are so you can imagine how shocked I was when the sorting hat said Slytherin after like 5 minutes"

He paused and leaned over his shoulder to kiss my cheek "and theres nothing bad about that you know but I don't want you to get hurt because of your courage you know? Trust me I wish I had as much courage and determination as you" I turned to face him as he said it, my eyes meeting his.

"You do, you told me that you've had a crush on me singe 1st year am I right?" He nodded his head before tilting it slightly in curiosity.

"it takes courage to tell the girl you like you like her, to kiss her at that, but you did it anyway you were so determined to make sure I was happy and comfortable enough to be in a relationship that you waited till I was ready you took me on dates, took care of me and made sure that I was never uncomfortable and I love you so much for that you have no idea" I smiled as I leaned forward to peck his lips.

"And to answer your question when the sorting hat got stumped on what house to put me in I quietly begged for Slytherin because it suited me better— also because green looks better on me than scarlet or blue dont you agree?" I asked chuckling slightly as he nodded.

"I do agree" he mumbled before bringing his lips onto mine once again.
