Final exams were coming up and so was the final task and everyone in my friendgroup was distracted to by both of those things to even study.

And I was to distracted by my book to pay attention to what was happening at the current moment, I didn't even notice that my boyfriend was trying to talk to me till Ruby said something from the other couch.

"Draco is doing better than you in potions"

"Since when?" I shot, closing my book and turning to look at the blonde behind me who was trying to contain himself when he kissed my cheek and responded "I've always been better than you"

I shook my head instantly in disagreement flicking my eyes down to his lap momentarily before locking them back onto his and letting a breathy laugh leave my lips "no" I kept my lips in the O shape till he reacted.

He chuckles shaking his head before moving his arm to my side "fine— I'll admit you're better than me Ms. Outstandings in potions" he mocked with a smile on his face which told me he was only joking.

"Anyways what was I was saying?" he started changing the subject and his touch poked his cheek while he thought about what he was saying when Theo walked put of the dorm holding the ferret stuffed animal with a confused look.

I snorted and turned to look at Draco whos face was bright red "Draco you sleep with stuffed animals?" Theo teased which clearly made the blonde upset as he looked at me.

I looked at him then back at our friends as they all teased him which irritated me as I jumped up to my feet and stormed off into my dorm to grab mine and while walking out with it I grabbed the one from Theo before sitting back down where I was once was with a smile.

The 7 of them stopped for a moment and looked at me, Draco included.

"Would you stop fucking bullying my boyfriend please?" I hissed while I placed Draco's ferret onto his lap when Crabbe and Goyle both cracked up causing me to shot my head over at them, glaring.

Draco held me down when I went to get up and smack sense into both of them or worse curse them which would have ended in a possible detention or me getting expelled.

Most likely the second one depending on how bad the curse was.

"You guys are supposed to be his friends and you're making fun of him over a stuffed animal? What the fuck" I shot shocking our friends at my sudden harshness towards them.

Crabbe and Goyle both looked at me with annoyed, pissed off expressions that told me they didn't care and that they were about to say something as stupid as possible.

The atmosphere was tense and awkward almost like the first time I saw my dad over the break.

Goyle opened his mouth, hesitanting to speak at first when he saw the pissed off expression on my face.

But still it was almost like the last braincell in his brain didn't work when he said whatever he was hesitating to say anyway, clearly his common sense had left him.

"Don't you think it's sad that he sleeps with a stuffed animal?"

"Don't you think its kind of sad that you two— who have never had a girlfriend or anyone remotely interested in you— to make fun of Draco for sleeping with a stuffed animal that has sentimental meaning to him because I, his girlfriend, was the one who picked it out along with mine?"

They fell silent at my remark which made Blaise and Theo both start cheering me on while Pansy, Ivy and Ruby awe'd at what I said.

I didn't have to look back at Draco to see the proud smile that displays itself on his face, I could hear it in his voice when he told them off, telling them to leave before I killed them both.

I can feel his eyes on me as I leaned back, his arm on the backrest of the couch as I looked at him and smiled without even thinking about it while my head rested on his arm.

He leaned down placing a kiss onto my lips making me forget we weren't alone when I opened my eyes still smiling at him, "I-" of course though I didn't get to finish when I got cut off.

"Iris loves Draco~" Ruby sang snapping me back into reality as U lifted my head back up then hiding my face into the blonde's chest.

He chuckled as Ruby continued to tease me for a few more seconds before Blaise grabbed the rosey haired girl by her shoulders "c'mon Ruby don't give her to much crap for being in love" he winked and I felt my face head up making me greatful that I wasn't facing Draco.

"I— I hate you all" I announced unable to keep the smile off my face as they all started laughing at my failed attempt at hiding how flustered I was.

Draco obviously noticed when he pushed my hair back behind my ear, my arms still around the white ferret stuffed animal in my arms as he did so.

I was suprised that none of them noticed the connection between the ferrets and the two of us.

I moved, resting my head onto his lap with my eyes closed while he played with my hair absentmindedly and talked amongst the group about the final exams and task that slowly creeped closer.

When I opened my eyes I realized I must have fallen asleep when a blanket was suddenly on me and everyone but one person was gone, leaving the common room almost empty.

I rolled onto my back to look up at the blonde, whos eyes were locked onto the fire with a small smile.

"Thank you" he whispered softly which was something you didn't hear much from him because of the cold front he puts on for everyone to see "you didn't have to stick up for me like that"

He didn't look down to meet my eyes not even when I responded "you're my boyfriend, I'd be a pretty shitty girlfriend if I didn't stick up for you" I told him, he huffed with amusement as he ran his hand through his hair.

"You're an amazing girlfriend"

I smiled at the comment as he glanced down to my hand and slipping his fingers between mine with a small smile on his lips.

His other arm secured the light brown ferret to his side mirroring my actions when he sighed loudly and I could tell he wanted to say something, that he was hesitant to say this something.

I to had something I wanted to say but couldn't find the courage to say it especially with the way he was looking down at me, his eyes sparkling with the reflection of the fire to the left of us.

I reached up, the back of my hand gently caressing his cheek before cupping his other one softly while gently rubbing my thumb against his cheekbone.

Why were three words so hard to say.
