Her Eyes || Draco Malfoy

"Has he asked you yet?" Pansy wondered as we sat in the great hall, Ivy and Ruby almost instantly looking up from their books with knowing smiles on their faces

I looked away; bringing my eyes over to where Draco sat talking quietly to Crabbe and Goyle.

I shook my head as I looked back at Pansy who sat across from me; "everytime the topic comes up we avoid it" I mumbled looking back down at my book, flipping the page and hearing the girls gasp slightly at what I said.

I raised an eyebrow, slowly looking up at them seeing Ivy glaring at the blonde before being held down my Pansy which made Draco look over in curiosity at the scene.

I awkwardly smiled and looked over at Ivy telling her to calm down as Snape was walking over but she didn't listen and got smacked in the back of the head with a notebook.

I groaned quietly before getting up and handing Snape my notebook and dismissing myself from the table.

Stopping when I reached Draco I sat down leaning into his ear "warning you now, Ivy might yell at you" I warned giving him an apologetic smile as he turned to look at me placing his hand onto my waist pulling me closer to him whole chuckling quietly and nodding.

"thanks, I'll prepare myself" he joked, quietly so that Snape couldn't hear him from across the great hall, I smiled when he moved his hand from my waist to my hand that sat in my lap "where are you going?" he asked suddenly after realizing I was about to leave before stopping to talk to him.

I thought for a moment, moving my eyes around the room as I did before letting them land back onto the blonde.

"Library, then black lake" I told him as I stood up fixing my bag as it swung jusy below my waist before continuing "why? wanna come with?" I asked and he nodded quickly closing his notebook and giving it to snape as he walked by.

Looking back as we left I saw Ivy and Ruby freaking out while Pansy attempted to calm them down, throwing a thumbs up to me while Draco opened the door for me, following me out.

I loved it, when we would just hang out like friends, like there wasn't something between us.

"Why are we going to the library for exactly?" He asked as we turned a corner entering the corridor leading to the library I looked over at him for a short moment before replying "I have to return a book and get a new one"

He seemed nervous about something, especially when we walked into the library and I returned my book.

We entered the section of the library we needed to be in, Draco sitting down in a chair the wrong way as he rested his chin on his arms and watched as I looked for a book.

I could feel his eyes on me, thats how I knew he was looking at me.

I ran my finger tips across the books spins, looking for any book that may interest me, maybe even re read, I ended up giving up though groaning quietly as I looked over at the blonde who had a small smile on his face.

Pulling a chair out I sat down, sitting the same way he was, facing him with a smile on my face "you're staring" I teased as I copied him by resting my chin on my arms as they rested on the back of the chair.

"Not staring; admiring" he corrected as he leaned in quickly placing a quick kiss on my cheek as they flushed red and he brought his hand to pinch my cheek "you're blushing" he smiled, before pushing himself back when I stood up.

He could tell when something was bugging me.

So we left the library and walked to the black lake he sighed laying down next to me, pulling me down with him forcing my back against the grass next to him as he kept his eyes on the clouds above us while I laid my head on his chest.

"I've been putting off asking you something" he started and I quirked my brow up in curiosity, he could he referring to two things and honestly either one would he okay with me.

I could tell he was nervous about whatever this question was.

He chuckled throwing his hands over his face while he thought of how to put the words together, he was shaking and it worried me.

I pulled his hands away from his face so he could look at me when I propped up onto my elbows "I like you alot" he blurted out, continuing on with his previous statement and a smile fell on my lips "and I think thats why I've been putting off asking you this incase you don't say yes"

It was hard it read his expression right now as he looked at me but I could tell by the way he voice was slightly shaky and his words were rushed that he was nervous, almost scared to ask whatever he was going to ask me.

His eyes wandered my face carefully, probably at an attempt to read whatever was going through my mind and what I was feeling before he eventually closed his eyes and took a deep breath, calming down his nerves.

When he opened his eyes they immediately locked on mine, smiling "do you want to go to the yule ball with me?" He asked and the smile on my face got bigger.

"Of course I do" I told him as I watched him relax and a sigh of relief left his lips making me giggle softly at the rate sight of him being nervous.

I moved my arm down letting my head hit his chest softly before beginning to tease him, purely out of love.

"I've never seen you so nervous before" I smiled even though be couldn't see it, his hand landed onto my back slowly.

God I couldn't stop smiling.

"I did just ask the girl I've had a crush on for 3 years to the yule ball" he said as I rolled over onto my back, resting my head next to his seeing him look over at me from the corner of my eye.

"You're smiling like an idiot"
