It had been a month since Draco left me at Ivy's, my birthday was tomorrow.

Ivy's mother greeted me as I entered the kitchen with Magnolia, her warm smile is what made me feel closer to home, Ivy had her smile and that smile was passed down to Magnolia.

"Ivy is in the shower so I'm watching little one" I said glancing at the baby in my arms, "how does it feel to be a grandma" I asked and I saw as her cheeks turned pink.

"Still getting used to it" she said and I smiled knowing that Magnolia would be in good hands, "Ruby, Pansy, Blaise and Theo are stopping by later, Ivy wouldn't let them meet Magnolia till you got too" she explained as she took a sip of her coffee.

"I bet Mr Malfoy is dying to meet her?" I nodded at that, feeling my heart sting at the mention of the blonde.

She noticed this and placed her coffee down "Is everything okay between you two? I noticed you tense up" she asked as she approached the island I sat at and I shrugged subtly.

"I mean we're fine but I'm still upset with him just, doing what he did even if it was to protect me" I mumbled looking down and fixing the small green blanket that Magnolia was wrapped in "I'm overreacting, I'm not mad at him just... hurt I guess because he could have gotten hurt, I miss him"

I wasn't sure why I was revealing this but it felt better saying it outloud to someone who probably understood what I was going through to an extent.

She nodded and gave me a sad smile "Ivy tells me how much you love that boy, she said you two were basically inseparable at school so what your feeling is perfectly valid" I stopped, feeling my face go pink yet biting back a smile.

"I guess you could say that we were" I gushed as Ivy walked into the kitchen, hair wet and her lips curled into a smile clearly she knew what we were talking about as she walked over to me, talking her daughter from me.

"Draco and Ivy are considered royalty in our house" Ivy said, embarrassing me as I spun around in my chair and throwing my hands over my face "oh shut up" I giggled as she also did the same.

I already knew what Ivy's mother was doing when I uncovered my face and saw the knowing smile on her face "the slytherin prince and princess" I turned around glaring at Ivy who stuck her tounge out at me.

I rolled my eyes, looking back at Ivy's mother who was currently trying not to laugh at us.

When Ivy walked out of the kitchen to put Magnolia in her crib I knew that her mother would pick up the previous conversation.

she smiled shaking her head "you've grown up so much from your scared 7 year old self—" she stepped forward, still softly smiling "im so proud of you" she whispered as she pushed a strand of hair behind my ear.

"she has Malfoy to thank" Ivy sang as she walked back into the room we were in her body leaned against the doorway with a smile, her hair now in two perfect braids.

She held her hand out as I walked towards her and she grabbed my hand, pulling me to our shared room and suddenly her smile grew and her eyes filled with hope.

The sleeves of her shirt covered her hand with small writing on it and I tilted my head when I realized it had belonged to Theo.

I smiled, she found someone who made her happy and without realizing it she had exposed her little secret to me just by wearing the shirt.

"Theos shirt huh?" I teased, laying down on my bed facing her as her cheeks ran red "does Ivy have a boyfriend?" I teased, smiling when she nodded slightly and hiding her face.

"We started dating two weeks befire I left" she said as she flopped down on the bed finally looking over at me which told me she was about to spill.

"A week after I had told you I was pregnant he found me on the astronomy tower freezing, I told him everything about what Cormac did and that he knocked me up, one thing lead to another and he kissed me"

"And I kissed him back, god I never felt so... alive I guess, he was so gentle with me and I just-" I cut her off when I found myself sitting on my own bed "you knew in that moment you had feelings for him" I finished her sentence before laying back.

"and everytime you kiss him its like the first time you did, the way you realize its not just some cruel dream that it's actually happening, I know" I smiled and rolled onto my side to look at her "Ivy, you're in love"

She couldn't deny it, it was plastered on her face as she smiled "do the others know?" I asked to which she nodded and began talking again.

"We didn't tell them, they found out when they caught Theo and I sleeping together on new years, not in that way he just snuck into my room after everyone passed out" I smiled, knowing I had been in a similar situations with Draco.

She went on for about an hour about the brunette, their first date which consisted of having a picnic in her mothers garden, how he stayed for a month after Magnolia was born and helped take care of her while her mother was gone with her dad on a task for the dark lord.

She told me everything, especially how she knew that Theodore saw Magnolia as his own daughter even if he wasn't.

I sat and listened with smile plastered on my face still becayse with every passing moment she spoke about him I saw her eyes light up, hope filling them because she could finally say that she was at peace, she was happy.
