Her Eyes || Draco Malfoy

No one knew yet besides our friends and it was best to keep it that way because we weren't official instead we were just trying it out and seeing what takes off from that.

Today I decided not to wear my glasses and wear contacts because today I was going to hogsmeade with him.

Nervously I was trying to make myself look nice without the brunette behind me being suspicious but apparently its strange seeing me without glasses and wearing something other than a hoodie or flannel.

It was a date, our first one.

I looked at myself in the mirror in our dorm room feeling insecure with myself and how I looked. My eyes wandered to Pansy's as she looked at me from her bed.

I could tell she was holding something back as the look in her eyes told me she felt hurt as she looked at me. She stood up grabbing something from my side of the room and walking up behind me.

She stopped placing a small box infront of me and sitting down in the bed next to where I was as I opened it revealing a small bracelet with a Aster flower charm "you deserve this Iris" was all she said before she smiled softly which I haven't seen her do alot of lately.

I put the bracelet on before hearing a small faint knock on the door which told me henwas here. I stood up smiling at Pansy before slowly walking to the door and opening it.

My eyes met his silver ones and a small smile fell on my lips when he stopped flicking his eyes up and down as I stepped out closing the door behind me.

"wow"

I bit back my smile looking down before looking back up at him not hiding back my smile anymore "you have a beautiful smile" he told me making my cheeks flush red as he moved his arm for me to take it.

I rested my head on his shoulder for a short moment before we left the common room running into Ruby, Ivy and Blaise on the way out.

Ruby and Ivy started freaking out silently telling Blaise to turn around and when he did a small smile fell on his face as he bounced his eyes between the two of us when Pansy walked over to us.

"I don't think I've ever seen you without your classes Fay" he said as I looked up at the blonde who couldn't keep his eyes off of me "it's nice to see you smile Iris" Blaise continued making me realize that I was smiling at the blonde.

I felt my face redden causing looked down hearing the blonde chuckle at my flustered state and kiss the top of my head making me look up at him again smiling.

I slipped my hand into his as he gestured that we should go before its to late, I nodded looking over at the group "we're going to go, later" I said before Draco pulled me away with him.

We walked into hogsmeade not saying much at first as we walked into the three broomsticks and getting a small round booth and ordering something to drink, Draco slipped his hand out of mine and placing it on my leg with out realizing it.

Before he could move it I placed mine on his looking over at him with a small smile "nervous?" I hinted tilting my head slightly as I held his hand rubbing the back of his hand with my thumb.

"I am on a date with the girl I've had a crush on since first year so yeah I am nervous" he breathed giving me an awkward smile and squeezing his hand lightly.

My cheeks flushed pink as I fell silent trying to process his words as my lips slowly curled up into a smile looking away scooting over slightly to be closer to him.

"I know I've said hurtful things to you like calling you a pathetic excuse of a pureblood but I never meant any of it" he said as I turned back smiling at him as he spoke "I only said it because I didn't want to have feelings for you anymore thinking I didn't have a chance"

I let my eyes roam his face carefully as I listened to his words "but now you are giving me a chance dispite everything I've done to you" he finished letting me tilt my head slightly.

"I think everyone deserves a chance especially if you like them enough and I like you enough to give you a chance" I smiled before cupping his face with my hands "so don't be nervous" I smiled reassuringly as I rubbed circles on his cheeks.

I felt him relax under my touch as I let my hands fall from his face and hold his hand in mine again "you make yourself seem so cold around others why?" I asked keeping my voice soft as the waitress gave us our drinks.

He hesitated, his eyes wandering around the restaurant anxiously when I locked my fingers with his and gave him a soft reassuring smile making him look at me.

His eyes met mine and he softened a little bit "When you're from a well respected family like mine you have reputation to live up to"  he began stroking the back of my hand with his thumb, keeping his eye contact with me and placing his hand ontop of ours.

"especially when that family I come from is the Malfoy's and house of Black" he squeezed my hand as I scooted over slightly "so most the time I don't have a choice and you know I don't like acting like an asshole most the time but it doesn't bug me that much" he smirked nodding his head over to the side.

I chuckled silently and shaking my head before looking back up at him with a small smile on my face "may I ask you the same?" He whispered softly keeping his eyes on mine.

"My 7th birthday I witnessed my mother be tortured and murdered by one of my fathers death eater friends" I told him hesitantly squeezing his hand "I went through watching her being tortured for 7 hours almost and then killed and that leaves a mark" I felt the blonde place his hand on my cheek rubbing it softly as I spoke which calmed me down.

He squeezed my hand lightly making me smile "and thats one more reason why I never smile because in that moment all my happiness was ripped from me but around you I feel happy" I continued before leaning in pressing my lips against his softly for a second.

"so I'm like your knight in shining armor"
