Her Eyes || Draco Malfoy

We were enjoying ourselves really, the radio was on playing music as we waited for the countdown to start.

It was getting late and I was having trouble staying awake.

I sat next to Draco with my legs laying on his lap and my arms lazily around his neck.

A soft smile stayed on my lips as he placed his hand on my thigh softly without noticing it allowing me to tune into the conversation they were currently having when Blaise looked at me with amusement.

"Iris looks fucking exhausted" he laughed making Draco look at me with a small smile bringing his hand up to move my hair from my face.

I sleepily smiled at him making him chuckle as he pulled me closer to where I was almost sitting on his lap allowing me to rest my head on his shoulder.

"yeah because cuddling with Malfoy is so tiring" my cousin joked as I looked up at the blonde seeing he was already smiling down at me bringing his hand to my cheek gently.

I chuckled when his thumb stroked my leg softly "no it just means I'm comfortable" I hummed keeping my eyes on him when he leaned his head against mine lazily.

I heard Theo sigh loudly followed by Pansy jumping up and turning the music up "no ones falling asleep before the clock hits midnight" she exclaimed making me thank Ruby's mother for putting a silence charm on the downstairs so they couldn't hear us upstairs.

Shifting Draco moved his head slightly leaning into my ear "I know how to keep you awake" he whispered making my eyes widen when he suddenly started tickling my sides causing me to go into a laughing fit.

I shoved my face into the crook of his neck muffling my laughter as I begged him to stop through my laughter when he finally stopped and I looked at him.

"I actually hate you" I mumbled though the smile on my face told him otherwise as he tilted his head ignoring the comments from our friends "no you don't" he hummed running his thumb across my cheek before wrapping his arms around my waist again.

My arms fell lazily around his neck again.

I leaned my head back onto his shoulder closing my eyes earning an awe from Destiny as I moved my arms down and around his torso so I could hug him.

He started rubbing random shaped on my back which made me smile snuggling into the crook of his neck "don't fall asleep" he told me resting his head on mine again making me chuckle.

"I won't" I tiredly mumbled into his neck making him laugh as he continued to rub my back softly right as the radio announced the 1 minute countdown would be starting soon and Draco forced me to stand up with the others.

His arms wrapped around my waist still and I rested my head on his shoulder when he suddenly grabbed both my hands intertwining our flingers as I looked at him tiredly.

"You look so tired" he whispered as he began to pull me from side to side with my hands making me smile when he suddenly slipped his hand from mine and spinning me.

Then it started, 30 seconds before the clock struck midnight the countdown down started.

Though Draco and I were a little bit too distracted when he slipped his other hand away and cupped my cheeks making me look at him.

I smiled as he stroked my cheeks lightly listening as the radio counted down and the others all chatted amonst themselves.

I smiled up at him as he looked at me unable to hide the smile on his face "I love your smile" he whispered making me blush smiling even more.

15 seconds

His eyes met mine after wandering my face slowly, his thumbs still stroking my cheeks.

My hands played with the zipper of his jacket as my eyes locked onto his.

He pulled me closer to him slightly making him smile

He moved one of his hands through my hair before resting it back onto my cheek

I ignored Destiny as she tried to talk to me as I kept my focus on the blonde infront of me getting lost in his eyes.

My heart rate picked up as he stepped closer to me his smile getting bigger.

"She's falling in love" said Ruby from beside me

I knew she was right as I admired the blonde infront of me

I wrapped my arms loosely around his torso

His eyes softened slightly

He leaned in

His lips fell on mine and my eyes fluttered shut making me tune everyone out, the noise, the cheering, just melting against his lips.

as I couldn't help but smile against his lips.

Our lips moved slowly together feeling the butterflies fly around in my stomach before pulling away.

Everything came back to me, the music, our friends loud voices around us but when I opened my eyes, I only saw him as he dropped his hands from my cheeks.

"Happy New Years" he whispered with a small smile playing his lips as I leaned in again leaving a short but soft kiss on his lips.

I turned to face my friends with my back against Dracos and his chin resting on my shoulder softly.

Ruby smiled at me and I smiled back as I found it nearly impossible not to smile when Draco's arms wrapped around me protectively.

She brought his gaze to Draco, smiling softly as she turned back to Ivy and Pansy.

I yawned loudly as Draco pulled me back onto the couch laying in the corner of it with my head on his chest and his jacket laying ontop of me like a blanket.

I struggled to keep my eyes open as everyone sat back down on the couch, Destiny throwing a blanket over me and Draco after removing his jacket off me.

Luckily I was already in my pajamas same with Draco as he wrapped one arm around me and intertwined our fingers with the other allowing me to smile softly as I listened to his heartbeat in his chest which made me fall asleep faster as it gave me comfort.

The last thing I remember being the feeling of his lips on my forehead for a moment and him whispering quietly.

"Goodnight, love"
