I flicked the light on in the medium sized room before looking at Draco whos eyes were wide "does that answer your question?" I asked and he nodded his head before approaching the piano, pulling me with him.

He sat down opening the cover of the piano and running his fingers across the keys softly, probably to make sure it still worked properly.

He looked over to me, nodding his head for me to sit down when he pulled me onto his lap suddenly which started me at the sudden movement.

His chin rested on my shoulder and his hands rested on mine "let me take control okay?" He whispered as he slowly pressed my fingers into the keys and the melody took control.

A small smile found its way onto my lips as he let go of my hands and told me to watch what key's he pressed then mimick them the best I could.

His hands fell across the piano as if it was the easiest thing in the world and I realized how hard it would be to attempt this.

The piano was such a non Draco Malfoy instrument, to delicate and pure for such a harsh and non-pure person.

At the same time the piano was such a Draco Malfoy instrument, so beautiful and different than what many may think.

Press the wrong combination of keys and you get a melody that makes no sense, that so hard to listen to but press the right combination of keys and you get a beautiful melody that you could spend hours or days listening too.

Draco Malfoy was that melody.

A beautiful melody, like stairway to heaven.

My mother knew many muggle songs, her mother may have been a pureblood but she was raised by Muggles, adopted at a young age after her parents died.

Somehow, my father who had grown up believing in blood supremacy fell in love with her, changed his views and vowed to keep her safe by never ever telling anyone who didn't already know.

I never knew them though, my mothers adoptive parents, they both died before I could, the killing curse.

The wizarding war.

So somehow I had ended up with an entire collection of records, Hermonie had explained to me one day what they were when she visited my aunts while she wasn't there.

She showed me how to play them and thus I fell in love with the beauty of muggle music.

So the fact that Draco had taken his time, putting his blood supremacy views aside to learn one of my favorite muggle songs that had reminded me of mu mother so much, a song I found out to have been her favorite growing up made me smile.

I leaned my head against his shoulder after having turned around to hug him tightly.

He had pulled me out of my depression, though not fully but he helped greatly, he made me smile when I didn't think I could.

Reminding me of the conversation I had with Pansy on the train returning home.

"I've known you my whole life Iris— never one have I seen you smile so genuinely till he came into your life, thats why I'm letting you have him.. I didn't really think I ever had a chance anyway he's been head over heels for you since first year— he loves you and you're happy, you're my best friend and I can't let you get hurt because I'm jealous— I'll find someone else"

He removed his hands from the piano and hugged me back, leaving soft gentle kissed all over my neck and face as he brought it into his hands, stroking my cheek softly.

I had never understood what my fellow Slytherin girls saw in him, dispite the face that he truly was— still is the most beautiful person ever.

I never understood it till 3rd year when he showed he cared, told me I had my own smile and that it liked my smile. When he told me he'd wait for me to be ready and let me warm up to him, letting me slowly trust him and fall in love with him when the truth was I think that I already was in love with him.
