Chapter 7- Lets get something of our chest

It's been 2 hours since Harper went into surgery and it went successfully. Dr.Choi and Dr.Halstead managed to control Harper's internal bleeding and she is now resting in the ICU. No one has been allowed in to see her yet and the whole fire house is waiting in the waiting room. Kelly is feeling terribly as he knows he should have come to check on Harper sooner. Meanwhile Dawson is blaming this whole thing on her as she felt like if she hadn't shouted at Harper that she wouldn't have been doing inventory in the first place. A few hours later an Harper has woken up and is finally out of the ICU, everyone is still waiting in the waiting room. The fire house notices Dr.Choi walking out and they all a stand up
"You can all go in and see her now, I do suggest asking about her previous stabbing" Dr.Choi says confidently
Dawson, Casey, Kelly and Boden all walk in whilst the others hang back just so Harper doesn't feel too overwhelmed. Harper's face lights up when she sees them walking in.
"Dammm Bailey your looking great you know for just surviving like a deathly surgery" Kelly says laughing. Boden and Casey both ask you how Harper is but Harper can help but notice that Dawson has been awfully quiet.
"Hey, look at me Dawson, What happend to me wasn't you fault okay. I shouldn't have gone out to check without one of you guys with me" Harper says quietly
"I know but if I hadn't went all Gabby Dawson on you then you wouldn't have been doing Inventory in the first place" Dawson adds
"Don't worry about it, we're partners remember we need to stick together" Harper says enthusiastically
"But your not coming back into my firehouse until we know it's safe" Boden states confidently
"It's okay, I think I'll be fine" Harper answers worrying a little bit
"I'm not taking the chance so I've contacted CPD" Boden says looking at Harper.
Harper then sits up in her bed but winces at the pain in her abdomen. Boden, Casey and Dawson can all see that she needs time to rest so they all leave.
"You had me worried there Bailey" Kelly adds holding harpers hand
"I know but where's the fun In not being stabbed" Harper replies as she laughed. Just as Kelly could say anything Dr.Choi appeared at the door.
"And how are we feeling Miss Bailey" Dr.Choi asks Professionally
"Don't ever call me that again and I'm doing good" Harper replies making a face
"Good to hear it, but we know that this is not the first time this has happened" Dr.Choi says
"No it's not" Harper admits avoiding eye contact
"Care to tell us" Dr.Choi suggests looking at Kelly
"Back in Miami I lost my friend Ellis in a fire. I went back to work and everything was normal until I got a call saying that they had found the man who lit the fire. I went down to the station and asked to speak to him and I threatened him. He was later found not guilty only because he had a good lawyer. He came looking for me that night and stabbed me whilst I was heading into work" Harper explains fiddling with her hands
"I see" Dr.Choi says
But just as he could finish his sentence Antonio and Jay walked in.
"Hey we were wondering if we could talk to Harper" Antonio says
"Yeah that's fine" Harper asks
Kelly and Dr.Choi leave the room and Harper tells Antonio and Jay everything.
"Okay thanks for telling us Harper, we will be in touch" Jay explains as he started to walk out the door
A couple of hours later Harper gets a phone call from Jay.
"Hello" Harper answers
"Hey Harper it's Jay, We have found the man who stabbed you" Jay admits
