Cassandra looked at him with a blank stare, out of the corner of her eye, she could see George face palm and could only hear the boy next to her do the same. Fred began to get nervous, before her lips broke out into a huge grin and let out a big laugh.

"It that the best you can do?" She laughed. Both Charlie and George wore shocked looks on their faces, not expecting that reaction. Fred smiled back at her, happy to see the girl so cheerful.

"Why, you think you can do better?" He questioned, in fake offence.

"Oh, I can do best." Cassie replied, a cheeky grin on her face. "I mean, I'm no photographer," Fred raised his eyebrows, "but I can so picture us together."

As Fred and Cass laughed away and threw out the most cheesiest pick up lines you can think of, Charlie looked over at George. "What is happening?"

"I don't even know." George breathed out. "But I'm putting a stop to it." He turned to the two, who now had tears in their eyes, from laughing to hard. "Hey, yeah hi," their laughter died down as they glanced over to Fred's other half. "Cassie, I see you've met our older brother, Charlie."

"Your brothers?! Well I should have known, you know with the-"

" hair" the three brothers interrupted. "Yeah we get that a lot." Charlie continued.

"Ah I see, well I'm Cassandra Harper." Suddenly Charlie understood why she seemed so upset over being placed into Gryffindor, let's just say the Harper's are a well known family.

"Well it's a pleasure to meet you." He smiled. He turned to his little brother. "Say Fred, have you managed to find the quaffle cushion girl yet." Fred's cheeks were suddenly as red as his hair.

"Em- well yeah she-"

"Well I have to meet her, there must be something special about her if she got you talking about her all week." Charlie said as he gazed around the room, as if the girl would just pop up.

"You've- eh, already met her Charlie." Fred said awkwardly, glancing at Cassandra, who was sniggering to herself.

"I'm quaffle cushion," she said. "I mean it was me, it's me."

"Oh nice." Charlie replied, as if he hadn't just exposed his little brother.

"Yep, that's her, so it is" Fred spoke quickly "Cass, you know Charlie is actually the quidditch captain for Gryffindor." He pointed at his older brother, trying his best to change the subject.

Cassies eyes widened "No fucking way, really."

"Yup, fan?"

"Fuck yeah I'm a fan! Do you think I could maybe sit in at practices and watch, because  I know since I'm a first year, I won't be able to play."

"Sure thing, as long as you don't go spilling our secrets to the other teams."

"My lips are sealed don't worry." Cass practically squealed. She turned to Fred and George. "Oh my merlin, can you believe that."

The twins glanced at each other and shrugged lightly. "Wow" they replied with awkwardly, not knowing what else to say. Cassie didn't seem to notice their looks and was almost buzzing with excitement.

"Oh please," someone started from across the table. The three brothers rolled their eyes at the sound of a familiar voice. "What you really want to work towards, is becoming a prefect. Now that, is exciting." Cassandra looked up to see another boy with flaming red hair, he was staring at her as if he just told her the worlds biggest secret, it was obvious he was looking for a big reaction.

Cassie cringed at the thought of her as a prefect. "Em, no thank you." She replied politely and began eating her chicken.

The people around her sniggered at the look on of bewilderment on the boys face.

"Tough luck Perce, tough luck." Charlie reached across, patting him on the arm. "This is another one of our many brothers, Percy Weasley."

Cass bit her lip and slowly nodded her head at the boy. "Uh huh, it's eh a pleasure. Cassandra Harper." She introduced stiffly.

"A Harper, in Gryffindor! Bloody hell, what do you think your parents will say. My guess nothing good. The Harper's tradition broken, what a shame. Ow Charlie stop kicking me!"

Cassies whole face paled as she stared at the boy, rambling about the shame she should be feeling. She then took a deep breath and silently ate the rest of her meal.

Charlie, Fred and George were sending death stares in Percys direction. "Way to go Percy," George started, "yeah now look what you've done." Fred finished.

"It's fine, I'm grand. Just em, Charlie could you, eh I don't know, maybe talk about quidditch or something." Cassandra asked softly.

So that's what the four of them spoke about for the rest of the feast, Lee joined in halfway, announcing that he wanted to become the commentator for all matches, as he loved quidditch but couldn't stand flying.

Eventually the plates were cleared and it was time for bed. The prefects rounded up all the first years and lead them back to the common rooms. On Cassandras way she spotted Caterina walking along with a boy. Cass quickly ran over to her.

"Hey Cat," she started "how's Hufflepuff? Any trouble?"

"No trouble at all," Caterina replied softly, "in fact I made a friend." She gestured to the boy strolling along beside them. He stuck out his hand for Cassie to shake, with a warm smile.

"You must be Cassandra, I'm Cedric, Cedric Diggory."

After chatting with them for a bit, Cass realised that she should probably get back to her group, so she bid the two goodbye and went along her way.

Cassie made it just in time to slip into her new common room. As she looked around at the warm colours, she felt right, she felt at home.

Walking up the steps to her dorm with a group of girls her age, Cass wondered who her dorm mates might be. She wanted to have a good friendship with the girls who she would be sharing her room with, for the next seven years of school.

When she got through the door, there were two girls already there. Cassie recognised one of them as Katie Bell, the girl who switched seats with Charlie. The other one was tall, had tan skin and dark hair. The door slammed closed and Cass spun around to see a third girl, with light blonde long hair.

"Sorry." She whispered sheepishly. "I'm Alicia Spinet."

They all introduced themselves and Cass found out the other girls name was Angelina Johnson. At first it was incredibly awkward, but as time passed, the four girls found themselves all piled onto one of the beds laughing and gossiping about everything and nothing.

They talked until Alicia fell asleep in the middle of a sentence. After that they all went into their own beds and turned off the lights.

Cassie pushed the thought of the letter she would have to write to her parents in the morning away and fell into a deep sleep, with a small smile planted on her face.
