"What is with everyone and my sneezes?! It's not like I sneeze like some fucking horse or some shit! I personally think I have an ok sneeze."
Cassandra stood up abruptly, folding her arms, looking around at the faces of disbelief. They all stared at her, not saying anything, but when they seen she was getting angry, Fred went over to her without a second thought. He brought his arms and wrapped them around her neck, using one hand to lightly bring her head into his chest.
Cassie froze and was about to shove him off in frustration, but his scent and embrace, calmed her down and she sunk into his hold. He rocked them back and forth, combing his fingers through her hair, thinking about how just seconds ago, it had shot up in burning hot flames.
Lee coughed, catching Fred attention and he signaled that Fred should step back from Cass. Fred furrowed his eyebrows at the boy, then realized what he was implying and scowled at him. He was implying that Cassandra was dangerous and that he should step back, before she hurt him.
"Fred." Lee said sternly. "Just- come over here, for a second." Cassie poked her head up at this and her mouth parted in question. She glanced at the boy, who had his arms still wrapped around her tightly. Fred glared at Lee, then turned to gaze down at Cassie, he smiled down softly at her. He kissed the crease in between her eyebrows, she blushed slightly and smiled back at him.
Lee walked over at a quick pace and grabbed the back of Fred's robes and yanked him back. He glared at Cassie and looked her up and down.
"Cassie what the hell was that?" He questioned sharply. Cassie glanced around nervously, Fred shoved Lee back off of him.
"She obviously doesn't know what's happening, look at her! So shut up!" He shouted, and strolled back over to Cass, he cupped her cheeks. Her eyes were full of fear and confusion.
"You done something ok?" Fred whispered. "When you sneezed- your hair, it just- I don't know how to say this, and before I do, I actually think it looked like really badass honestly, beautiful even-."
"Beautiful!?" Lee protested. "That was fucking scary!" He turned and stared Cassandra dead in the eye. "Your fucking hair was on fire, you freak! What if someone was to close to you and got burned! You didn't think to tell us you could do that no?!"
Chance stood in front of Cass and Fred protectively and put his hands out. "Your making this a way bigger deal than needed. You've literally seen a squid the size of your house, that could eat you like a jelly baby. Stop fucking scaring her!"
"The squid is actually really sweet, Cass made friends with it, one time." Caterina recalled, in a quiet, dreamy voice. Lee scoffed at the pair.
"I really don't give a shit right now Caterina." He huffed. Chance and Fred were both holding themselves back, from punching him at this point. Cassie was in a daze, she hardly heard anything, after Lee said her hair had been on fire. Everything sounded as if she was underwater, it was muffled, she could only feel Fred's chest rise and fall.
