"Hey," Visha trailed off as she bit her lip nervously, not sure on what to say to the girl who stood at the Slytherin common room door, with red eyes and puffy cheeks. Visha had already heard about Caterina being petrified by her peers in the house complaining about Issac waking them all up.
Cassandra gave her the best smile she could muster, which earned her a look of sympathy, one she didn't want.
"Hey," Cassie croaked out, suddenly not being able to connect their eye line. "I just wanted to see Chance so..."
Vishas face lit up in recognition. "Oh right. Yeah of course." She paused and thought for a moment. "Actually, Chance left a bit ago," Visha recalled, watching as Cassies features dropped slightly. "He's probably gone to see.., you know-,"
"Cat," Cassie finished sternly for her, getting a nod in reply. "Yeah, ok. I'm gonna go up to them, thanks." Cass turned on her heal to begin rushing up to the hospital wing, but Visha stopped her.
"Cass," Visha started off awkwardly, making Cassie frown lightly. "I know it's not your job or anything to know where your ex-, well not really ex but,"
Cassies body tensed even more, her lips pressing into a thin line.
Visha sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose. "Do you know where Zephyr is?" She questioned. "Because I seen her sneak out in the middle of the night, but never heard her come back in. And normally when she sneaks out, she's back the same night because-,"
"-she's scared of being awake at three AM," Cassie muttered, thinking back to when she would beg Zephyr to stay just for a few more minutes, but the blonde had to be back in her dorm at half two in the mornings at all times, to give her enough time to be asleep at three.
Visha gazed at Cass, before the Gryffindor gave her a look. "Em yeah, yeah exactly, so..." Visha raised her eyebrows, waiting for the drained girl to answer.
"I-," Cassie sighed thinking about Zephyrs words about how she didn't want anyone to know what had happened the night before. "I don't know, sorry."
As much as Cass hated not being able to confess, butterflies swarmed her stomach and a lump formed in her throat, just thinking about betraying Zephyrs trust.
Visha nodded solemnly, examining Cassies uncomfortable stance. "That's-...that's ok," Visha confirmed, waving her off, yet not fully convinced at Cass' words.
Cass sucked in a breath, her shoulders tense, her hands still forced into her pockets to stop them from fidgeting. She turned once again and headed straight for the Hospital Wing, guilt weighing her down. As she jogged lightly down the halls, trying to hide her jumble of emotions, she passed a certain someone that made her gut twist around even tighter. But as Cassie got closer to the boy, whines and groans of complaint were heard. She let out the biggest smile she could muster at what she guessed was the twins and Lees way of cheering her up, which wasn't a very large smile.
