"What do we do with it?" Chance questioned, with his arms firmly folded, as he gazed down at Cassandra.

Cassie was currently laying face down on the couch of the Gryffindor common room, after losing a quidditch match against Ravenclaw that morning. She responded to anything, with a groan of complaint.

Chance, Lee, and Caterina, all stood around the girl, trying to get her up, while Fred and George sat on the armchairs either side. George was gazing into space, thinking about the loss, and Fred was squinting his eyes, muttering about his revenge on the Ravenclaw team, especially the keeper, who kept winking at Cassie. Cassie would give him the middle finger every time he did, but that didn't stop him.

Lee tilted his head. "Do you think she's trying to suffocate herself?" He asked, genuinely. Cat smacked his arm and gave him a look. He just shrugged his shoulders in response. Chance thought for a moment, then a lightbulb went off in his head.

"That, guy, keeps-, eh, giving me dirty looks." He announced loudly, Lee and Cat furrowed their eyebrows and glanced around the almost empty common room. Cassie didn't move a muscle, and Chance slumped, thinking Cassie would shoot up to give the fake boy a death glare.

"Wait a second," he paused, pretending to be thinking, "no it's Cat, he's giving dirty-."

"Who's dying today?" Cassie sat up so fast she got a head rush. Blinking rapidly, she tried to stop the room from spinning, while attempting to find the imaginary boy. Chance raised his eyebrows in offense.

"Wow, you popped right up for that, didn't ya?"

Lee scoffed at the pair and sat down on the couch, so Cassie couldn't lay back down. Cat giggled lightly at Cassie, who was still figuring what was happening.

"Well, now that we know she's not dead, I have to go." Cat stated, skipping towards the portrait door. Chance scrunched up his face in thought, and counted the group, when he couldn't find anyone missing, he turned to the Hufflepuff.

"Where? We're all here."

Caterina smiled softly at him, halfway out the door. "Cedric and I are going to Hagrid's, to take care of the baby hippogriffs." Chances face dropped at the mention of Cedric and he shifted uncomfortably in his robes.

"Oh," he breathed out, "you- you know, I love creatures, maybe I could help out next time?"

Cat frowned slightly. "Last time we were talking about different creatures, you said you'd rather eat a flobber worm, than take care of it." The Slytherin went red and spluttered a bit, before Cat carried on. "But if you want, you could come help us now?"

Chance pondered the idea, but then cringed and turned around to Cassie, who looked as if she was about to murder Lee, for talking about one of the Ravenclaw chasers, very enthusiastically.

"Yeah, I think I better stay with Cassie. She seems pretty upset, I wanna make sure she's eats properly. Sorry." He rocked back and forth on his heals. Caterina gazed at the floor for a moment, before nodding her head, giving them all a soft goodbye, and left. Chances eyes lingered on the door, then he strolled over to Cassie and plopped down beside her on the couch, shoving Lee off in the process.

He lifted Cassie and lay her down on her back, so her head was rested on his lap. She peered up at him, puzzled, while he started to comb his fingers through her hair.

"Why didn't you go with Cat? I'm ok, it's just one loss." She asked gently, he shrugged.

"Because you say that, but I know it meant a lot to you. I know that your mother wanted two things, for you to be in Ravenclaw, and for you to never step foot near a broom. I know that when you were mounting your broom today, getting ready to play against Ravenclaw, you weren't only going against her wishes, but you were getting ready to prove her wrong, by winning. But you lost and now she's all you can think about and what she would say, if she were here. So I want you to know that she's not here, and just getting on that broom and accepting who you are, that's proving her wrong, you don't need to win anything."

Chance had his eyes on the fire place in front of them the whole time, not even glancing down at the girl. Cassies eyes watered slightly, before she blinked harshly and sniffed. Neither of them said anything else, as they gazed into the fire place.

Lee was busy trying to snap George out his daze to hear the exchange and Fred hadn't stopped muttering under his breath.

They stayed in the common room for a while, before Lee realized that they had missed lunch, so Chance made them all stand up to go to the kitchens. On the way there, Fred made sure to throw a dung bomb at the Ravenclaw keeper, when they past him, making Cassie laugh, which to Fred, made it ten times better.

After Lee and Chance made them all eat full meals, and after Chance snuck Cassie a cupcake, they headed down to the Great Lake. Fred and Cassie climbed a big tree, hanging off its branches, while George, Lee and Chance all sat around the bottom of the same tree, talking about who would win in a fight between the giant squid and an underwater dragon.

They all laughed along peacefully, until Fred fell out of the tree and a painful snap was heard. He clutched his arm in pain, while the boys surrounded him. Cassie leaped off the tree in a panic, falling onto the hard ground in the process. She ignored the pain in her knees and scrambled over to Fred, shoving the boys away to make a path.

"Oh my Merlin, Fred sweetheart are you alright?" She placed her hands on his cheeks, bringing his face close to hers. "Oh of course your not ok, why would I even ask that? We need to get you to the hospital wing quickly, come on." Her words were panicked and frantic.

Fred, seeing the state she was in, tried to put on a brave face, while cradling his broken arm. "Hey, calm down ok."

"Don't tell me to calm down, your bone is in two pieces, and I can't stand the thought of you in any sort of pain." She rushed out, gently pulling him up off the ground. He put a stop to her movements and looked deep into her eyes.

"It's just a broken arm. Ok? I'm not dead. I'm alright, at the moment I think your more panicked than I am. Not saying there's anything wrong with that, personally I think it's adorable and it's like, the only thing keeping me from crying right now. Look, Madam Pomfrey can mend it in a second, she's dealt with worse. I'm more worried your gonna scare yourself so much, you fall over." He chuckled, she nodded along to his words and took a deep breath.

Lee put his hand on Fred's back gently and lead them back up to the castle. All the way to the hospital wing, Cassie tried her best to keep in her worry, but anytime anyone got to close to Fred, she would go full defense mode, completely scaring them away.

At one stage Angelina came over and cried out, thinking it was George who was hurt. Cass didn't even bother hide her anger and shoved her away, before she could even get two meters around Fred.

Through all of this, Fred was either smiling at Cassandras protectiveness, or wincing in pain. Chance was attempting to control Cass, having to hold her back at times. George was constantly glancing over at Fred, trying to hide his concern and Lee was enjoying leading them all down the hallway, shouting at the crowds to make a path. It was quite a sight to see.

For the rest of the day, Cassie took extra care of Fred, even though his arm was now fixed. Madam Pomfrey was able to mend it in less than ten seconds, with a simple spell. Cass wouldn't let Fred out of her sight and dragged him to the library with her, to read healing books, and because Chance wasn't letting Cassie out of his sight, he followed after the pair.

At one stage, Oliver Wood came over and smacked Fred on the back, in a friendly way, but still hard enough to make Fred wince. Long story short, Cassie told him to fuck off. Fred loved every minute of it and not to mention all the attention, she was giving him.

He went to sleep with a small smile across his face, and not to mention, a Cassandra curled up beside him, in a pillow fort.
