Fred and Cassandra finally snapped their gazes to their intertwined hands. Fred gasped audibly at the sight, but didn't dare to release his hold. Cassie stared in disbelief, completely speechless.

Little flickers of red and orange flames, covered their hands, in a ball. They all fell silent, to entranced by the fire.

Neither Fred or Cassie, felt any kind of pain, just a small tingling sensation. It was warm, but not too hot. Fred breathed out a laugh, eyes examining over every detail, trying to take in what was happening.

The flame subtly began to grow, then all of a sudden it shot up roaring, as if in anger. Professor Proluit, had been creeping up towards them, he flinched harshly, shielding his face with his hands. His expression turned sour, as he grumbled and stromed up to the pair. He reached out and ripped Cassie from Fred's grasp.

But suddenly the flame, that was once in her hands, traveled along her arms and up to her shoulders, burning the Professor along the way. He jumped back, in pain.

"Aghh, bitch!" He shouted, as he held his hand tightly, trying to stop it burning. "You fucki-, aghh!" The further he stumbled away, the calmer the fire got and soon enough it disappeared.

Cassie stared at her hands in shock, her blue eyes trailing where flames once sparked. It was like they were never there. She turned around to Fred, who still hadn't said a word. He was glancing between Cassie and his own hands, confused on why he hadn't been burned.

They both looked into each other eyes, and at the same time, they let huge smiles take over their lips. Fred stood up, not glancing away for a second. Both their arms waved rapidly, throwing them into the air, particularly bouncing up and down in excitement. They seemed to have an entire conversation with only little parts of sentences and facial expressions.

"Did you-?!"
"Yeah, but like what?!"
"I know right and-!"
"That's so true!"
"I didn't even-!"
"Same!"

Caterina, Chance, Lee and George stood there watching the exchange, George opened his mouth to speak at one point, but cut himself off. He knew that when this happened, you just need to wait a while. It tends to happen a lot with Fred and Cassie, over the most random things. Nobody would know what they're on about, but with one look, they could speak a hundred words to each other.

Chance stared at Cassie while she made exploding gestures with her hands, even having little sound effects to go with each one. Cat watched as Fred nodded his head in agreement, dramatically, with wide eyes, the smile never leaving his face. Lee gazed at where the fire had travelled along Cassie shoulders, blinking slowly.

All the laughter was cut off however, when Professor Proluit snuck up on the group once again and shot a spell at Cass, making her go ridged. Fred's face dropped, as he went into a panic. Cassie breathing picked up, she was still standing, but the only thing she could move, were her eyes, they darted around, fear evident in them.
