Cassandra had asked Oswald about staying at the Burrow, for a least a little while before school. At first he said no, with a look of confusion, he then offered to get her a rabbit instead, this just puzzled Cass. She had to explain that the Weasleys house, was called the Burrow, then he kind of got it. She knew it was unlikely that he would let her go, he didn't even know about the letter, but she asked anyways. As she expected, he refused, but on the bright side, he did agree that she could go to Diagon Ally with them, to shop for school supplies.
At this news, Cassie held her head high and ignored the fact, that she was only allowed to go with the Weasleys because her father would be busy at work, and her mother, well she's definitely not going with her, her mother also didn't know about this trip. So, the girl wrote back explaining what her father said, and it got a good response, thankfully.
Molly was meant to be picking her up by floo powder, in a few minutes. Cassie still wasn't allowed out of her room, so her sat on her bed in anticipation, while Pepper, the family house elf, stayed waiting at the fireplace. The fireplace that just so happened to be in the same room, that Akilah had tortured Cass in.
A little earlier than planned, the fireplace went up in green flames and Molly Weasley, stepped out, a little dusty. Her eyes wandered around the large room, and when they landed on an old house elf, she simply raised her eyebrows and greeted her.
"Hello there, I'm Mrs Weasley, eh, is Cassandra here?"
Pepper paused for a moment, taking in Molly's appearance, then nodded her head. "Yes, I will be releasing her out of her room now," Molly furrowed her eyebrows at this in disapproval, thinking of the rules, but Pepper didn't seem to notice and carried on, "Pepper must also ask if you keep your voice down, Madam Akilah must not know Ms Cassandra is being let out." Before she could be questioned, Pepper apparated out, to get Cassie.
Molly took this time, to study the grand sitting room, as her eyes scanned over the flooring, something under the small coffee table placed in front of her, caught her attention. It was a deep red color, her breath hitched and her eyes widened. The patch of blood was small, but Molly got the feeling, that whoever was cleaning up, missed it when washing away the rest of the red substance.
The woman shook with anger, and felt like storming through the manor and finding Cassies mother to give her a run fo her money. To her, it was obvious what the blood was from, or more like who it was from, and when Cassandra appeared in front of her, with a cut across her eye, Molly's suspicions were confirmed.
But all of the hatred left her body, as she studied the girl, taking in her appearance and instead, the woman was filled with hurt and sympathy.
Cassie had large, black bags under her eyes, her cheeks were sunken and she was twice as skinny than the last time Molly saw her. Despite all of this, she had a bright smile across her lips and there was a glint of glee, in her tried eyes.
