The next day, people were gathered around a sign up sheet pinned to the large corkboard hung in the Gryffindor common room. Cassandra strolled down the stairs of the girls dorms as she fixed her tie, the buzzing crowd peeking her interest. She sighed and glanced over to the door, wanting to see Caterina before breakfast, but the twins caught her eye and gestured her over quickly.
"Morning," Cass greeted tiredly, covering up a small yawn.
Fred gave her an odd smile with pink cheeks, so she looked to George, who nudged his twin and narrowed his eyes at him before responding.
"Apparently, good old Gilderoy is holding a class in self defence after Caterina and Colin got petrified," George explained, getting a small appreciative smile from Cass. He was one of the only people who said Caterinas name since the night before. It was usually just, 'I'm so sorry about... you know,' and Cassie would just have to nod along, pretending as if she didn't want to set their hair alight from their sympathetic eyes.
"We've already signed you up, we recon it'll be a good laugh," Fred went on with a soft grin.
"Oh guys," Cassie whined with a laugh. "He'll be so shit." The twins hearts warmed hearing her laugh, almost forgetting what it sounded like from not hearing it for just a day.
"Exactly," they exclaimed. Fred swung his arm around the girls shoulder and gazed down at her. "Hopefully it'll cheer everyone up a bit yeah?"
Cassie relaxed into his hold, waiting a moment before speaking with an almost shy smirk. "Yeah."
"It also says that Snapes gonna be Gilderoys assistant," George practically whisper, saving the best for last.
Cassies jaw dropped. "No he's not," she exclaimed in shock, her eyes darting between the twins.
"Oh yeah," they answered in sync. Fred picked her up for a moment to spin her around, earning a mocking eye roll from George as they laughed together.

After Cassandra and Chance stood staring at Cedric with suspicion as he sat beside Caterinas bedside for half an hour, they kissed Cat on the head and went off to get breakfast, much to Cedrics relief, as it was starting to get quite creepy feeling eyes burning into him.
Soon after their food, everyone piled into the Great Hall without meals on their mind, instead, all the attention going to the long table that stood as a stage in the middle of the hall. A deep blue cloth with little golden and silver sparkles covered the whole length of it, the phases of the moon printed along it, somehow looking as magical as the school.
People's rushed chatter came from all around the platform, nobody wanting to be shoved to the back. Fred dragged Cassie along by the wrist, Cass using him as a human shield, with Lee, George and Chance all trailing behind them.
Once Fred spot his younger brother, he pulled to a stop, Cass bumping into his back, her eyes searching every face, not wanting to be stuck around a certain someone. Ron spun around and grinned widely at Cass pointing to a spot between him and Harry.
