By the time they arrived at The Burrow, it was already dark, but Cassandra could still see the details of the Weasleys home. She allowed her jaw to drop, the twins looked at her nervously, anticipating her reaction to the house. It was no secret that the Weasleys weren't the wealthiest, so this was all they could afford. It wasn't the fanciest, but that didn't matter, it was home.
"Woah," she breathed out quietly, but loud enough so they could hear her, then she got louder, "holy shit, your house is so cool!" She practically skipped to the front door behind Ginny, with her bags in tow.
Fred and George glanced at each other and let out a sigh of relief. The two strolled in after the girls, to see Cass examining the home with awe written all over her face. Fred smiled at the girl and George grabbed her bags, and began hauling them upstairs.
"You can think again, if your think Cassandra is going to be sleeping in with you two!" Molly called up after him. The two boys collectively groaned.
"Mum, she our friend." George whined. He looked at his dad with a pleading expression. Arthur shook his head.
"Can't disagree on that one now boys. Cassandra will be bunking with Ginny. Is that ok?"
"Oh, of course." Cass replied with a smile in Ginnys direction. Ginny grinned back, excited to have another girl in the house. Arthur clapped his hands together.
"Perfect," he exclaimed, "it's already late so why don't we have some hot coco, chat for a bit, then head to bed."
That's exactly what they did, at one stage Cassie dropped her spoon and started apologising frantically to Molly. At first Molly was confused, but that quickly turned to concern, thinking of the girls mother and her punishments for such a small thing.
Molly sent her a warm smile and told her that it was just a little mistake and that was ok. Cassandra relaxed a bit but was very careful and stiff in her movements from then on, and would glance over at Molly if she made any sort of sound. Of course Molly noticed this and made it her mission to show the girl that it was ok to mess up sometimes, and that she should be comfortable around her, as not all mothers are like hers.
After everyone finished up, it was time for bed. Ginny led Cass up to her room, where a spare camp bed had been put out for Cassie to sleep on. Across from the bed, a Holyhead Harpies poster was stuck up, they were an all female quidditch team. Cassie turned to Ginny after getting changed into her pajamas.
"You like quidditch?" Ginny turned to her with excitement in her eyes.
"Oh, I love quidditch," her excitement faltered, "well, I've never really played, the boys don't let me join in, and none of them will teach me out to ride a broom, so."
"I could teach you." Cassie stated casually, getting into the camp bed, not realizing the effect of her words. Ginny jumped up.
"Will you really? Like over Christmas?" She questioned.
