The Harper household has always been a strict one, one with firm words and sharp eyes. Yet like every other story, there's always one person who can burn it down with a single flick of their wrist. In this fanfic of Harry Potter, that person is Cass...

Over the last few weeks of school, Cassandra made sure, to give anyone, who even looked at Caterina wrong, a dirty look. She decided not to tell Cat about what the creatures really were, and didn't question her on her past.
Chance was also being very protective, but not of Cat, of Cassie instead, because of what Angelina had said to her in the Great Hall, he didn't know of what happened with the thestrals yet. Cassie had been debating on telling him, but eventually she just decided to leave it.
She's avoided Angelina any time she could, even in the dorms, and would be stuck to the boys, or Cat all day. Honestly, everyone's pretty impressed that Lee has been able to stay away from Angelina that long, but by the looks of it, he was struggling not to shout out how gorgeous she looked, anytime she entered a room. Yes, he was furious with her, of course he was, but he couldn't help it.
Angelina, had only tried to speak to Cass a few times, but was mostly attempting to convince George, that she didn't mean what she said. George never paid any attention to her at all and would always pretend he couldn't see who was talking when she ranted to him. That always got her to give up and walk away, which everyone was great full for.
There was only a few days 'till Cassies first year of Hogwarts was over, she dreaded even thinking about going home, if she's allowed home that is. She hasn't brought up her worries with anyone, as she didn't want to be a bother, but somehow, Fred always knew when her thoughts spiraled and always managed to bring her back down to earth.
Lee pointed out that some of the teachers were acting odd, the group couldn't go anywhere without being followed. Even Snape would be trailing behind them from time to time, the twins blamed it on all the pranking, but it just didn't sit right with Cass.
At that moment, everyone was gathered in the Great Hall, for one last breakfast before they headed off home. There were frantic conversations everywhere you looked, some people were crying, some were laughing, and some were a mixture of both.
Cassie sat in between Fred and George, trying her best to at least look, as if she was enjoying the food in front of her. Her face was pale and her eyes were full of dread, she kept reminding herself, that her father sent her her broom for Christmas, so surly he wants her home, surly he still loves her. But just when she manages to convince herself that she's wanted, her mother voice clouds her mind and it's back to square one.
Lee sat across from Fred and was trying to discreetly gaze at Angelina, he failed miserably, but nobody bothered to say anything.
Caterina, was chatting away to Chance, who looked as if he was trying to distract himself with anything he could find. At first it worked and Chance began forgetting about the day ahead, but then Caterina went on about how excited she was to see her little brother again and Chance turned sour.
Caterina noticed this, and was just about to comment on it, when a single owl flew through the window, with a letter attached to its claw. Cassandra froze when she saw Aria, the family owl, flying towards her. She took shallow shaky breaths, attempting to calm herself down. This letter could determine everything really.
