"Chance, what the fuck happened?" Cassandra exclaimed in shock. They all turned their heads to the Slytherin. Caterina gasped, while Lee whistled lowly, at the boy with half his face covered in his own blood.
Chance smiled weakly, at Cassie and Cat, ignoring the boys. "It's nothing really, just, a little-, argument, is all." Cat shook her head at him in disappointment.
"This is the third time this month that I've had to patch you up. Why do you keep doing this to yourself, just stay clear of the ones that bother you."
"But they all-."
Cassie scrunched up her face in confusion. "Third time this month?" She asked. "How come I've only heard of this now?" Chance took a deep breath and gazed at the floor in shame. When he went to respond, Cassie stood up next to him.
"Just sit down, you can have my seat." She said kindly, with her hands gently placed on his shoulders. He gave her an odd look. "Don't look at me like that, I just gave you my seat, so the best you can do is sit the fuck down." She huffed.
"There she is." Chance muttered lowly, chuckling lightly, but wincing at the pain in his cheek, where Adrian Pucey had punched him. He sat down slowly, straight away, Cat went to clean his face up, careful not to hurt him.
Nobody spoke up, people along the Gryffindor table gave them all strange glances, but they didn't pay attention. Chance cleared his throat, trying to ease the tension and start up a conversation.
"So eh, Cassie, how's that sewing coming alo-.?" Cassie cut him off, as soon as she realized what he was talking about, with a fake cough.
"Sew-, what?" She breathed out awkwardly, glancing nervously at Fred, who furrowed his eyebrows, in both confusion and amusement at her awkwardness. She let out an airy laugh, waving her hands, in front of her. Then she abruptly stopped and put on a slightly deeper voice.
"So eh Lee, your weeks up, Angelina confess her love yet?"
Lee's face lit up at his crushes name, then it dropped. "Well, no, not yet, but it should be any day now." He tilted his head to gaze down the table at Angelina, once he caught her eye, he gave her a wink. She cringed and glanced at George, who was holding in his laughter, then huffed and turned back to Alicia.
Lee grinned in triumph. "Yep, any day soon, like did you see the look she gave me?" Chance snorted at him.
"Yeah, I can really see the love. Why do you even like her anyway? She's a bitch." He stated in question. The corner of Lee's lips twitched up, as he glanced at Cassie, then turned to George.
"Yeah but," he paused dramatically and George smirked, seeing where he was going, "she's my bitch." He and the younger Weasley twin sniggered together, they hadn't told anyone about their encounter with Zephyr. They didn't even ask Cassie any questions, when she came back to the common room late that night.
