Dear my little Raven,
It's only been a week or two since you've left, and Aurelia and I are already waiting for the day we see you again. Everything seems different and quieter without you running around the house bumping into things. Even Pepper and the other house elf's miss you. Apparently it's just not the same cooking dinner without you yapping theirs ears off.
How's Hogwarts anyway, I bet you didn't expect the Sorting Hat, I wish I was there to see your face when he starting singing. I was tempted to tell you, but I just couldn't spoil the surprise.
Is the common room still filled to the brim with books? I remember my first time walking in, it was like I had entered a book worms dream. And don't worry about having to answer a riddle every time you want to enter, at first it's a bit intimidating, but you get used to it. If you do have any trouble, just ask one of the older students for help.
I hope you've made some friends, but try keep your friendships to Ravenclaws or even Slytherins. It's just you know, Hufflepuffs and Gryffindors, well they aren't the smartest, they would probably just use you for your intelligence.
Your mother refuses to write until you've confirmed that your in Ravenclaw. I tried to convince her, but, you know your mother.
Love Father.
Cassandra was sitting in the library rereading the letter that Aria, their family owl, had delivered that morning at breakfast. She hasn't sent a letter back home yet, as every time she would pick up a piece of parchment to start writing, either, the twins would come over and drag the girl away to play a small prank that would almost always turn into something big, or Cassie would just stare at the blank parchment for hours, wondering how she should break the news, then give up.
This is the first letter Cassie had received from her family and her father hadn't even bothered to ask if she got into Ravenclaw or not, as he was so convinced that if she was in any other house, it would be mental. He even brought up not making friends with the very house she's in as, they would all 'use her intelligence'.
'Does he believe Gryffindors are stupid? Will he think I'm stupid?' Cass thought to herself.
Don't even get her started on Akilah, her mother refused to even write to her daughter, even with Oswald trying to convince her that Cassie was in Ravenclaw.
As Cassandra scanned the letter for the thirtieth time that day, Cat strolled into the library, just after coming from her potions class. Her footsteps were soundless, so when she sat across from Cass, the girl leaned back in her chair, in shock to hard and fell off.
"Every time." She mumbled while rubbing the back of her head. As she got up, Madam Pince poked her head around one of the many bookshelf's.
"Shhhhh."
